If you believe in the Church's position on abortion, then you're pro-abortion, since you believe that abortion is fine in cases of rape, incest or danger to the health of the mother. That's a choice. The issue isn't pro-abortion or anti-abortion, it's where you draw the line. The only difference between you and me is that you think that line should be drawn by your ecclesiastical leaders and I think the line should be drawn by the mother and her doctor.

You're making an awful lot of unwarranted assumptions about my position on abortion and how I got there.

Incidentally, if someone who was genuinely unfamiliar with the Church and its stance on abortion asked me for the Church's position on abortion, and I told them the church is pro-abortion or pro-choice, that person would think I am a liar.

I don't want to turn this into me bashing on the Church, because that's non-productive. We view the world differently, but I respect your view, because I know you're a smart person, and I respect that, but if you were stupid it would be a whole other story.

you group people who say pro choice with pro abortion.

Wouldnt the same logic group pro lifers with the extreme no emergency abortion states?

I am all for roe going away if states were rational actors who wouldnt make laws saying oh no abortion even if need it in an emergency. They arent rational actors and thus there needs to be some national protection from such nonsense. Arresting people for miscarriages? That isnt developed country first world stuff.

If you're asking whether people who oppose legalized abortion except in limited circumstances, and people who oppose legalized abortion except in even more limited circumstances, and people who oppose legalized abortions in effectively every circumstance can all call themselves "pro life," I think the answer is, sure, why not.

I'm not so sure. I think we will find that those few states exercising their newfound regulatory powers will quickly find the extreme positions to be very politically unpopular. They will either lose power to the other side, which will impose more reasonable strictures, or adopt more reasonable positions so they don't lose power. It will take longer than a lot of people would like, though.

Sounds like Biden is a go for a debate. Trump suggested they do it tonight outside of the courthouse.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Well, there goes that VP option for Trump.

Oops I worded that wrong. My first thought was that BP was thinking along those lines.

However, having hosted a couple of ankle biters in my home that struggled with house training, I'm not really a fan either.

I'd like to have a cat. But then I remember that television movies portray the tough, fit, flannel-wearing, hair slightly too long, single father-being, christmas tree farmer from Vermont love interest with a dog (yellow lab), not a cat, and I decide I'll just stay unaffiliated.
