Biden/Harris: A Presidency for All Americans

Yes, the media screwed up on the laptop. But if you think that’s a valid reason to not certify a democratic election in America, you’re a dangerous lunatic.
-
The facts showing that tech (e.g., FaceBook, Twitter, etc.) were used to censor the Hunter laptop story which would have won the election for Trump (according to surveys/studies). JD Vance has made this statement many times but the Dems are focused on calling JD an election denier instead of the real issues that the American people care about... This is why the Dems are losing.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
If he was actually running against Trump, he wouldn’t be an election denier! Are you folks imagining a scenario where he’s running against Trump but still acting as his toady? Come on.
If you deny that tech and MSM under the influence of the government censored free speech then you are a fact denier. Go back and read Zuckerberg's letter to congress.

Yes, I think this is true. They're both trying to buy votes. It's hard to know how committed they are to their campaign promises, but some of them are off the wall crazy that it's hard to see them ever follow through.Originally posted by USUC View Post
I kind of think these text bros are mostly concerned with the woke culture war stuff than most anything else. Their whole emoyee base is woke and it bothers them to no end. If Trump wins I pray Vivek has an influential position in his admin. He at least understands how bad economic nationalism is.
The cynical side of me believes most of these guys think once Trump is elected, they can lead him to more sensible policies. Bomb throwing and promising free stuff is apparently what voters in this country want (or at least both candidates think that's what they want). No one cares if Trump breaks campaign promises because everyone knows he's full of shit. Get elected with populism and govern as a conservative. That's what they hope at least.

Did you watch the primaries? Was there even one contender who made a clean break from Trump’s policies? Maybe Hayley or Pence?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

almost all of them had to play cute with Trump’s base. They all played a version of ‘Trump or his policies were great but it’s time to move on’.Vance of all people would do the same. I could totally see him agreeing with Trump about the election, trying to woo his base, while supporting similar policies, just with a fresh face.

Peter Thiel's alignment with Curtis Yarvin and his politics are worthy of derision. Vance and Vivek were almost physically incapable of uttering criticisms of Putin. And when Vivek was running in the primary he spent every moment praising Trump.
All you have to do is listen to Vance and what he says about Ukraine and what he doesn't say about Russia. No need to find it silly to speculate Putin holds sway with MAGA world people. Recently you had those influencers busted when warrants were issued for Russians who paid dipshits like Tim Pool and Dave Rubin nearly half a million a month to carry their water. In Russian media, RT leaders have boasted about having hundreds of conservative influencers under their sway. That's different than Hannity making up shit about George Soros.
There is a stark difference between Soros and Musk. Musk has thrown himself into being a present and involved in Trump/s campaign as possible and his fucking with his own platform to do it.
Musk has sure aligned and amplified the messages and voices of those who support Putin and has been politically helpful to them. He did that shady voter fraud website and tweeted out AI altered clips of Harris. He's not above reproach. The Ukrainians sure don't care for him.

He has already sworn he would do what Mike Pence refused to do on J6. He's not a good guy and he's not an unfairly maligned otherwise-textbook candidate.Originally posted by YOhio View Post
For sure he's better than Trump. If Shaka's scenario were ranked choice voting I have no doubt he'd come in second on this board (JL please don't start a poll just to make me look bad).
I get why the election denying is a dealbreaker for folks, though I think he does a decent job fence-straddling on the issue. I don't think he *really* believes it was stolen, otherwise he'd be a lot more vocal about it. It's unrealistic to expect him to contradict the top of the ticket so he'll keep getting asked the question.

Okay. So Peter Thiel owns a company that is doing incredible work in defending Ukraine. Similarly doing incredible work defending American interests, NATO, and Israel. But he’s the bad guy? And anyone he supports is somehow disqualified? Give me a break. Similarly people talking about Elon Musk as if he’s in Putin pocket when his company is providing the communications backbone for Ukraine. Fus sounds like Hannity talking about George Soros or the church lady talking about Satan. The catastrophizing is ridiculous the reductionist approach is exhausting.

Some fair points. On a tangential but related matter. do you believe Vance's total reversal on Trump was borne of principle? Could Thiel's influence (including the Thiel/Vance trip to Mar-A-Lago during Vance's turnaround phase) have had something to do with it? Shouldn't that be a cause for concern? I get that every politician acts (to varying degrees) out of self-interest, but I find Vance's extreme and sudden about face to be very disturbing.Originally posted by YOhio View Post

I think fus was saying Vance is the "dude who would hand Ukraine to Putin" (he and Trump had essentially pledged to do so, at least a large chunk of it). I don't know Thiel's position on Ukraine. Palantir is a pretty awesome company and will do just fine irrespective of Ukraine. And I'm uncertain whether Thiel "owns" Vance, but it's not a hard argument to make, considering everything Thiel has given and done for Vance. One example is the largest contribution by far for a U.S. Senate race was Thiel's $15 Million paycheck to Vance.

lol. Peter Thiel wants to hand Ukraine to Putin. Considering that Palantir is used by US DoD, IC, NATO, Ukraine, and Israel I think that’s probably a stretch. We need to have some kind of Putin version of Godwins Law.

JFC you guys are nuts.
Vance? The dude owned by Peter Thiel. The dude who would hand Ukraine to Putin. The guy who doesn’t believe in the 2020 election. The guy who agitates racist lies against a group of people.
That guy is better than Harris who will spend half the money that the Trump/Vance ticket is proposing, will stand with Ukraine and has moderated on every position the conservatives find important?
The conservative movement is a dog shit ideology and you guys have had your brains melted by a dude who paints half his face orange, unreal.
