Brittish actress comes forth and states Polanski sexually abused her in 1982.

Prime reason why think he belongs in jail. Never felt remorse nor felt he did anything wrong. Hence his behavior has not changed..

What a surprise. Not.

My guess would be that there are many more women who were raped by him when they were young who haven't said anything. Hopefully this will give them the courage to no longer be silent.

Polanski is a degenerate and the world would be a better place if he was in prison where he belongs.

I agree. It is troubling he has been allowed to roam free in Europe. I hope the Swiss honor their extradition agreements with us.

In a similar article, some director or something said that Polanski has paid a price for what he did. Really? Making movies and millions of dollars while living a lifestyle in Europe that most in the world can't even imagine is paying the price for rape?

This is typical Patrick Goldstein stuff:

The bigger point that conservatives seem to miss is that the Oscars and Hollywood are two different institutions. In Hollywood, pretty much anything goes, as long as your movie makes money. But the motion picture Academy holds people to higher standards. In fact, it's exactly the same kind of institution that conservatives would normally*admire, being an organization that holds its members to high standards. You won't see the actress who called the pope a Nazi presenting an award, nor would you see the movie that stereotyped Southerners winning a best picture statuette.

But you will see Polanski getting an Oscar. What would Goldstein say about an organization that gave Joe Paterno an award now for his achievements as a football coach?

I have no idea who Goldstein or Ratner are, but Polanski should be rotting in jail for what he did to a 13 year old girl. And as far as I'm concerned, Hollywood and the Academy are the same thing. To hell with both of them or their praise of a child rapist.

As I said, I have no idea who Goldstein is, but because he's willing to defend Hollywood and the Academy, he would want Paterno to be tried and convicted for allowing someone who raped a 10 year old boy to not be thrown in jail for doing so. I actually agree with him, but it demonstrates that Goldstein is a <redacted> hypocrite.
