  • In the books. Ran this morning for the first time in about 8 months. Maybe the third time since the St. George marathon a year ago. Nice to start off the day with the confidence that you almost pooped yourself but didn't!
I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

What do you mean training for? That practically IS an Olympic tri.

A fair point, not to mention the fact that I don't think I have swum 2400 meters in my life, and certainly not in the past 40 years.

I think I'm being trolled. Not only did I do over 4 in the morning, I was so motivated by this Challenge that I went out late last night and added a couple more. All running so far, as the days are too short for me to get any riding in.
          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I am having some problems moving right now i did get up early and swim again, which helped.

The tri is a sprint, but I need to drop some serious weight, so I am in attack mode. In the back of my mind, I am toying with the idea of the St. George half iron man next year.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

              • I feel dead today. Absolutely no spring in my old legs. I'm going to try to get 5 miles in tonight when I get Chicago, but I'm not sure I can stay awake late enough.

Not surprising given your epic epicness yesterday. You and JIC decided to bring it.

Yours and JIC's day were amazing. Mine took about 8 hours over the course of a day to complete. Walking on a treadmill during calls all day is not a bad way to pick up a bunch of cheap miles. My run at midnight and my closer before the basketball game were much more challenging. Still, I'm pretty amazed at that number. And even more amazed at your true Ironman performance. Very impressive.

Meh, I'm a bit sore today too. I pushed my run to this evening to give my legs more time to recover, and I've been wearing calf sleeves all day. Tonight won't be epic.

                      • All right. I finally got to put something beyond just my name on the spreadsheet.

                        • This fast start by so many is discouraging.
I have nothing else to say at this time.

                          • Not quite as prolific today.

                            1600 m swim
                            4.1 mile run
                            13 mile ride

Tomorrow will probably be a swim and possibly a ride, depending on several factors surrounding work.

                            • Since it basically never happens, if I take a bath instead of a shower, can that count as a swim?
I have nothing else to say at this time.

(nearly) two months is a long time. More than enough to reward consistency. I think what we're seeing isn't that much different from the start of a 5k--everyone flies out of the gate, but 10-15 minutes later you've passed most of them.
