It was 39 degrees this morning when I woke up. It started to rain during mile 3. The wind started up during mile 4. Mile 5-7 were pretty miserable being wet and cold but I finished my schedule 7 mile run. I thought I was diehard until I saw FN's pics. Kudos to you.Last edited by Moliere; 12-06-2013, 12:43 PM."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I have been very sick this week, which has sucked some of the wind out of my sails. I will be tapering down next week in prep for my race, so I think that CJF will be too far ahead to catch. My goal now is to be 1st in cycling and swimming and to be on the podium in the overall."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I haven't been tracking you while I'm rehabbing this nagging calf, but being out of commission sucks.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostI have been very sick this week, which has sucked some of the wind out of my sails. Everytime I think I might just maybe be able to catch OhioBlue - he puts in another 13 miles
Enjoyed the snow today. Just about perfect - temp was about 29, not enough snow on the sidewalks to cause them to be slippery and a light coming down
Really put me in the Christmas spirit
I may be small, but I'm slow.

Our daily average has dropped off a lot the past few days, no doubt due to weather. But we're still on pace to arrive at AT&T Park well before the 27th, unless we continue to cower indoors and shun the treadmill. We arrive in Logan at the end of last week (we're following the US 20W route, since I-80 doesn't allow runners or cyclists...) and are currently in the middle of nowhere near the Utah-Nevada border. Nothin' to see here.

Is this on a map somewhere we can observe and track?Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostOur daily average has dropped off a lot the past few days, no doubt due to weather. I lack the skills to prep one. I simply Google mapped the course from Times Square to AT&T Park and click on the "Walking" option. It shows a total distance of 2919 miles I believe. Our current accumulated distance is 2234 miles and that puts us well past Logan, UT (I did a separate search for Times Square to Aggieville).Originally posted by creekster View PostIs this on a map somewhere we can observe and track?

Google tells me 2,904 miles from Times Square to PacBell/SBC/AT&T. The suggested route goes through SLC, not Logan. According to that route, 2234 miles puts us past the GSL and about 40 miles west of the salt flats on I-80. And yes, I say "us;" I did swim a lap across the pool, and I was, at that point, the swimming leader in this challenge. Just so everybody knows, that swimming lap represents the last 10 meters to AT&T Park. Everyone else's works get us close, but my swimming is essentially the grace that gets us there.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I have a feeling that someone from Houston may be sitting on hundreds of unreported miles.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostOur daily average has dropped off a lot the past few days, no doubt due to weather.
