That's a nice group of courses. I don't know what kind of deal you got at Wolf Creek, but I think Falcon Ridge down the street is just as fun. Wolf Creek gets all the pub, but I think it's a bit overrated. With a Dixie Direct Card you can get golf, lunch, and a sleeve of balls for $35. There is also a Coral Canyon 2-for1 offer on the card. Probably worth the $25 card if you don't already have one.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI am headed to St. George at the end of this month for a golf trip. I bought a Vanguard golf pass to the Ranches earlier this year. You recieve four 18 hole rounds, four 9 hole rounds, ten 2 for 1s and 5 buckets of balls at the Ranches for $99. This year they also threw in a free round at Coral Canyon (you have to pay for the cart) free round at Thanksgiving Pointe and a free round at Falcon Ridge. Unfortunately Falcon Ridge is the only one with restrictions as its only good M-Wed. Wolf Creek was only $55 for 18 and a cart twilight rate this time of year. I have played Falcon Ridge a few times so I figured I would pony up for Wolf Creek.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostThat's a nice group of courses. Just lower your expectations for Wolf Creek a bit and it will be great. Sand Hollow used to be on the DD card, but now they're busy enough that they rarely run many promotions at all anymore. I love that course, but I freaking hate the red-clay bunkers.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI bought a Vanguard golf pass to the Ranches earlier this year. Do you think WC is worth $55? Maybe I should make the drive out to Coyote Springs that was a fun course.*Banned*

Falcon Ridge is a pile of crap. The front nine is okay, but that back 9 is off the charts stupid.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostThat's a nice group of courses. Coyote Springs is 10x better than Wolf Creek, IMO. But it is an additional 30 mins away (but cheap--like $35 or something). In all honesty, Wolf Creek is worth golfing at least once.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostDo you think WC is worth $55? Yes, I think so. I have only played it once and didn't like all the blind shots.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostDo you think WC is worth $55? Maybe I should make the drive out to Coyote Springs that was a fun course.
I notice no one talks about Oasis much anymore. At one time that was one of my favorite courses anywhere. The greens got so crappy I stopped playing it. If they had good greens it would again be one of my favorites. Have you played Connestoga. I really liked that course.
If convenience weren't an issue, Coyote Springs would always be on my agenda when heading south.

I have not played Conestoga, I watched a KSL golf feature on it a few years back and it looks pretty impressive. Golfnow.com has a pretty good deal out there this time of year, maybe I need to play 36 one of the days.Originally posted by byu71 View PostYes, I think so. Anyone know what happened to Kokopelli? That course had great reviews, it was a bit out of the way but I was looking forward to playing it. However it looks like they went out of business.Last edited by cougjunkie; 08-06-2013, 08:16 AM.*Banned*

Sadly it was one of those, "if you build it they will come deals". Golf course built with the idea of a development around it. Their timing was terrible. A situation like Coyote Springs, but I guess Coyote has plenty of money from water sells to stay in business. Kokopelli had nothing but a very nice course.Originally posted by cougjunkie View Post

My boys and I played it once in the winter. It was high 50's in St. George and barely 50 at Kokopelli. There were two foursomes on the whole course.
