Thanks! To be fair, 8 lbs. 7 oz. of it was baby but the last 20 lbs. in particular have been no joke.

Hey, take what you can get. 20 pounds is 20 pounds.

Look at it this way - that's 350 Krispy Kreme doughnuts that you passed on. That ain't easy!!!

I took couple of days off last week and my milage for the week was

        M- 6.5
        T- 12.5
        W- 11.2
        Th -11.3
        F - 10.5
        S - 9.4
        Su - 3.6

For the first time in a long time I finally wore out the dog - when we got home Wedensday he just flopped down and didn't move for a couple of hours.

Normally he runs laps around the back yard when we get done.

This week I'm back to normal - between 6-7 miles per day, I'll probably be out on the road in an hour or so.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Thank you. It is no coincidence that my board persona mellowed out about the same time I had surgery. Day of surgery I weighed in at 271.2, my last visit with the surgeon in June I weighed in at 221.2 and my blood pressure, sleep apnia and acid reflux are all but gone.!

Not my personal acheivment, but I thought this was pretty cool. Hopefully these act as great examples for the general population.

I just completed week 5 day 3 of c25k. 20 minutes straight of jogging. I don't think I've run that long since a freshman at BYU 20 years ago...

                Congrats AC! That's awesome!

Are you planning on a 5k?

Yep. I promised myself that I did the 20 minutes without stopping tonight I'd sign up a 5k next weekend. I'm also going to run in the Susan G. Komen race for the cure in August with my two girls alongside.

I did it. I registered for my first 5k this Saturday evening.

You've tapped into what, for me at least, is the strongest fitness motivator: a specific event that compels one to get in shape. I operate best under looming deadlines, and an organized run, ride or other event is great to maintain focus and prevent backsliding. Good luck with the run.
