I'm not sure any of you have to.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I'm a CurrMo but please see it for me, as well.

I'm honestly going into this with one question: why? Why did somebody think this movie is a good idea? Why would I feel different about Mormons after seeing this movie? Why would a person want to know more about the Mormons after it? And why do people think that any nonmormons will show up?

            I will return and report.

I'm not sure that could be less honest, quite frankly.

I am going to the movies with my wife tonight, we are opting out of Meet the Mormons and instead are planning on seeing Gone Girl and Ben Afflecks junk.

Why? Because I listed like five questions instead of one?

I can't imagine taking 2 hours out of my day to watch Meet the Mormons. But then I can't imagine taking 2 hours out of my day to watch most movies. It will be interesting to see if, a few months from now, the church considers this a success.

If you are patient, it will be on BYUtv. Take advantage of it. It is what we gave up going to the BIG12 for.

Also it might be shown on KSL between conference sessions if Carole Mikita decides she doesn't need a couple of spots.

Truly kidding. I know she is a very, very nice lady.

I'm hearing absolutely unfounded speculation that the real endgame is to get this on Netflix. I'm not sure I can connect all the dots though.

Nor can I. And I am active. Blows my mind that an ex-mo would invest the time and money to see it.

For those of you keeping track at home, my mind has been blown twice today in this thread.

LOL! Do you understand much about the word "faith?" Does the Church consider that military adventure where a charming silver tongued leader took "command" of 100 other equally clueless "SOUL-jers" on some ill advised jaunt to save LDS members assets in Missouri a success? When evaluated based upon simple cost benefit analysis, success in stated political goals or even numbers of dudes shot in the gut on the Crooked River it was an abysmal failure. How does the Church treat it? Their perspective is very, very long term and my opinion is the experience for its filmakers will be success enough.
