This is good news because now it's clear what the LDS Church is and people aren't going to decide to continue to be part of the LDS Church based on some delusion that it is something other than what it is (some of us have never been confused). If you're progressive from an individual liberty or civil rights standpoint, the LDS Church is a bad institution. It's that simple. And the 12, the President, etc. are bad people.

I have heard this a couple times on different blogs. I don't understand why people think this as he was effectively incharge when the September 6 went down. So are you saying that he would have learned his lesson from a PR perspective and wouldn't repeat it, or that he was more inclusive? I can believe the former but the latter doesn't seem to add up with his actions (or inaction) in the past.

I am reading the same stuff. Also these blog people think this must have been done behind Uctdorf's back. Really? He is in the First Presidency, I think he is aware of what is going on people. Anyway, my two cents which don't mean anything, this is a bad thing (not just PR wise) for the church.

Just listened to Trib talk with Dehlin and Kelly. Pretty much the same stuff we've been talking about. But Kelly did mention both of her parents have been released from their callings and their temple recommends removed. She didn't provide any details, but if it's related to support for their daughter, that's just flat out wrong.

But Kelly did mention both of her parents have been released from their callings and their temple recommends removed. She didn't provide any details, but if it's related to support for their daughter, that's just flat out wrong.

I would be shocked, beyond shocked if church leadership went after parents for their children's conduct.

Now if it turns out the inuendo is untrue, I pretty much would hope people would ignore her (Kelly) in the future. If your cause is o piss poor you have to try and mislead people, find something else to do.

If she ends up being right, then I will have to start conceding church leadership is starting to lose common sense.
