"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
"More meaningful roles" "Mormon society." Nice strategic wording. Do the women get a pat on the head, too, or is that extra?
the only thing AA hasn't posted yet in this thread is that some of his best friends are women.
lol. AAs rhetorical skills are on fine display today.
Actually, I feel a bit bad for him. He's been forced into this position of defending the indefensible. I would never publicize his name and I certainly don't want him to lose his job over it. he's just the henchman.
Still waiting for a better alternative than blowing up the church office building. It seems extreme.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Why is everyone jumping down the throat of the LDS church leadership for excommunicating two or three people, but no one is criticizing the Pope for excommunicating hundreds of people who are similarly giving his church some problems? Bit of a double standard, if you ask me.
I have come to terms with the fact that Elder Eyring, my 1st cousin once removed, is involved in something shady at best (denial of basic equal rights to women and denial of free thought and speech to Mormons).
I have also come to terms with the fact that my great uncle, President Kimball, doesn't deserve credit for giving black men the priesthood in NINETEEN FREAKING SEVENTY EIGHT.
All-American and many others still have some things to come to terms with.

It's not misogyny. Women just need to know their place, right?
Everything the Church is doing right now reinforces the perception that they are putting women in their place. How do they not see how bad this makes them look?
Because they have the overwhelming majority of active women on their side.

Islam has a majority of its women on their side. Mormonism is great at creating subservient women.

Actually, there is no other religion that does what Mormons do in excommunication, Catholics included. Catholic sacraments are never cancelled, even with excommunication, not to mention the much quicker trigger we pull.
I think the Jehovah's Witnesses do a pretty good job at excommunicating members.

Jesus doesn't care about baseball, that's why he gave us football.
Jesus doesn't care because he can't hit a curveball

AA looks like Superman...chiseled features, perfect hair. I think most people would overlook his imperfections. Dude could be a Tea Party darling.
