Lol. And Jesus is waiting with open arms for hypocritical assholes. JL, how was Powell?

    • Did anyone watching GMA wind up seeing the watermelon? To be honest that has kind of piqued my curiosity.

        • I want everyone to realize that cougjunkie represents the true voice of Mormonism.

If you endorse Mormonism, you endorse his way of thinking--even if you think differently. The reason is that Mormonism most frequently generates thought processes consistent with what cougjunkie is saying. If you don't endorse his thinking, I would recommend ceasing support of the church altogether.

I'm ashamed that I was an accomplice to Mormonism for all those years. I'm just trying to make things right.

I was primary pianist for more than a decade. I still have nightmares about children singing "Follow the prophet". (Creepiest tune ever. Even creepier concept.)

Take a step outside Mormonism for just a moment and consider the following:

              • Sooner is getting funnier
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Good luck atoning for your sins. Maybe you could look I to some other places to spread your most excellent recommendations around.

                      • My honest opinion is that Mormonism needs to move with the times a bit more.

I would have resigned my membership if I didn't have hope that Dieter was going to create a revolution. I would not exclude the possibility that I would return to church at some point.

Science and religion are completely incompatible. This is not to say that god doesn't exist--it's always possible that god does exist, however unlikely. Scientists generally don't care about God or religion on a professional level.

The important thing to know is the way in which science is incompatible with religion. That is to say, the manner of thinking is completely contrary. In science, skepticism is valued even toward one's own data. Evidence is what matters, not speculation, imagination, or confabulation. In religion, skepticism is devalued and even demeaned. People who ask tough questions too publicly are disciplined, ostracized, or asked to leave. I don't want to leave cougarstadium. I honestly don't want to leave Mormonism either, but I also can't support it any longer because of its tendency to absolutely stifle critical thinking.

hogwash. CJ doesn't know enough about his religion to be it's voice. He's a member of the enforcement crew, a roadie for what he believes is God's band.

So girls have to try and impress him to get backstage? That sounds awful.

I'd pay $50,000 to not have to even know about this committee. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
