You forgot to include the word "lame" before effort, which I guess I should be grateful for.Originally posted by creekster View PostThat really wasn't ballads theme. I realize this might be Clark Addison's effort at humor or hyperbole, but the thing is his talk was about follow up and missionary work. I didn't think it was earth shattering as a talk but we should be fair about it.

With Erying, I see nothing but genuine tears. I think that's just who he is.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostDo you think conference talk tears are planned, learned behavior, spontaneous effect, or genuine?"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I would love to challenge an apostle to a public, televised debate. That would be the chance of a lifetime! That which may be asserted without evidence may be dismissed without evidence. -C. Hitchens

I'm curious, which one would you choose? (To be fair, you have to debate them at full intellectual capability, not necessarily at present condition.)Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostI would love to challenge an apostle to a public, televised debate. LOL. I would have to go with J Holland, D Oaks, or Neil Andersen. I'm actually leaning toward Andersen, since he chose to focus on gay marriage. I'd throw some biology back in his face.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostI'm curious, which one would you choose? I think it would ultimately be unsatisfying (both for you and the audience) because you would be debating from completely different paradigms.Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostI would love to challenge an apostle to a public, televised debate. That would be the chance of a lifetime!

That's been my favorite talk so far. The conviction he spoke with convinced me that he was speaking from experience. It was a great talk for where I'm at right now.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI thought DU's talk on gratitude, even in the depths of despair, was interesting and, as always, well done. I'm curious how it was received by CS'ers who are currently enduring some very tough times. Not that, sickos.
