    2014 April General Conference Thread

    There is a lot to talk about in addition to the OW thing, so let's get a dedicated thread going.

    No major announcement from TSM in the opening talk.

    JRH opens up with a strong talk. Tells members to not be shy about defending unpopular teachings. Should be interesting next week on FB.

    First talk out, defiant and playing we are the oppressed, victims card. I usually like Holland's talks, this not so much. Wonder if this going to be a theme?

                      Initially, there seems to a bit of retrenchment and appeal to the rank and file to declare the hardline and be bold about it.

                            Neil L. Anderson brings the hammer down. More fodder for FB arguments. He even dedicated part of his talk for how to stand your ground on FB and expressed with some shock how otherwise active members of the church occasionally show sympathy to gay marriage by liking posts on FB.
