I don't think religion classes should be removed, but I certainly don't think they should be mandatory. That always bugged me when I was at BYU.

I am ok with requiring them, but let's make them pass/fail and no impact to GPA.

And the issue is not having the classes, but the quality of people that are often teaching them. They are getting all these bozos to teach these sections and many really are terrible at it.

They are moving to larger and larger sections for the better/more popular teachers. Also, they don't seem to be hitting up other departments fishing for instructors for the core classes like they used to. A lot has changed since you were a student!

Bugged you - meaning the guilt from drinking and feeling up girls - made you feel dirty during the religion classes.

            • I must have gotten lucky. I don't recall having a non-religion professor teaching my religion classes. Some were better than others, sure. And some played loose with history (I'm looking at you, Susan Easton Black). But overall they weren't bad.

A couple of my favorite religion instructors were not in the Religion department. One because the class was so easy, the other because the class was so different.

Anybody but Woody Allen for a quote like that.

I would say that I'll agree to disagree, but I won't presume that we would reach any sort of agreement when it comes to Woody Allen.

He takes a break from twitter. Stops making any tweets. Starts unfollowing people to avoid drama.

Unfollows everyone but the FP and Q12, so as not to offend people being unfollowed and make a cleaner break.

I went to HS with Hank, so I have more to go on than just his recent Twitter hiccup.

FTR, I am on Team Hank if I’m choosing between Calvin and Hank. Team Hank 100%. But anyone who follows the Q12 and FP on Twitter is a borderline weirdo. Anyone who follows them exclusively is not someone with whom I can hang. #sjbh

Did you hang out with him in high school?
