So - let me preface this by saying I haven't read the article and may be running on a tangent here...

While I'm driving in to work I'll often flip channels to a variety of radio hosts - including Beck.

A couple of weeks ago I caught him talking about one of the greatest problems in politics today is the hate involved. He made some comment about "most" politicians loving our country and wanting to make things better, but coming at the problem from different directions and with different solutions. He stated that he is convinced that we all need to work together, and that the hate expressed in politics is keeping us from coming together. He even acknowledged his role in some of this, which I'm assuming is what he refers to in saying that he should've treated President Obama better.

I remember wondering at the time if he was being serious, and if he would be able to sustain this newfound insight that while we may have differing opinions we are stronger when we work together on common goals and compromise to find common ground. But I haven't been back to see what he's saying now.

    • There's a fascinating interview I heard with Beck from On the Media this weekend. The host was very skeptical of Beck's change of heart. So much so, in fact, that Beck cut the interview short. I would recommend listening if you're interested at all in Beck or his role in current political discourse.

I just listened to it. Man, Beck was pretty defensive considering all the awful things he has said about people in the past. I have to give him credit for wanting to part ways with the alt right.

I just read the article. Because of this,

Decency is a fresh palette for Beck, who, at Fox, used to scribble on a chalkboard while launching into conspiratorial rants about looming Weimar-esque hyperinflation, Barack Obama’s ties to radicals with population-cleansing schemes, and a Marxist-Islamist cabal itching to take over America. He once described Clinton as “a stereotypical bitch” and accused Obama of being a racist with a “deep-seated hatred for white people.”
I am very skeptical of Beck. I don't necessarily discount his recent confession, but he does have a long and significant track record.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

            Wow. That was brutal.

It's pretty hard to believe him and take his change of heart seriously when he employs and gives voice to someone like Tomi Lahren. She's going to be great on TrumpTV.
I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

No, he was not part of the Obama campaign in 2012.

So more news on our Mormon friend who absconded with $13M in client trust funds. Apparently last month he forged a bank statement showing that he had sufficient funds to cover one client's $1M trust funds.

As a related aside, for a while I've been meaning to start a thread about the age of cyber begging and sad GoFundMe pages (not sad, but sad), but I just haven't had the time or energy. This would be a prime candidate for the inaugural post:

Crazy that more people out there aren't willing to donate money to people waiting to inherit millions of dollars.
