    dabrockster definitely brought that up.

I don't think he converted until he was in his 30s, so the teetotalism came from somewhere else.

ID totally started in Provo. It was Reynolds, Sermon and Tollmans all in Provo (3 of 4 BYU students at the time). Tollmans left, they went to vegas and hit it big. Tollmans wanted back in and Reynolds told them (rightfully so) "no dice".

I was exiting the Provo scene as ID was coming in. I met them way back in the day. They played the same venues and recorded at the same studio. ID started in Provo and the roots for their success were planted there.

You only wish it were Salt Lake City. They are from the sister-cities of Las Vegas-Provo. 😏

The state buys confections at the highest rate in the nation -- almost double the U.S. average -- Hershey researchers found. Twizzlers are especially popular in the Salt Lake City area, according to the company.
One would think there would be some obesity going on in Utah with all that candy eating but it doesn't seem to be the case, however.

It seems what mom told me about eating candy and getting fat isn't really true. Or maybe they send large amounts of candy to missionaries and don't actually eat themselves.
