I was simply pointing out that Harry Reid also says racists shit which makes one wonder if all Nevadans talk that way (especially given the quote from Bundy). Does not Harry Reid represent the good people of Nevada in some way? As for the source of the quote it was the first that I found in a quick search.

Is this thread not entitled "Mormons in the News" and is not Harry Reid a Mormon that is in the news?

Harry Reid has given his opinion more than once about the Bundy affair, has he not? Therefore, he has drawn himself into this. One has to examine Harry's background when evaluating an opinion. It seems Harry hasn't been honest with everyone… for example:

Interesting how he reported the funds given to his g-daughter as being to "Ryan Elisabeth". LOL.

Parents point out that while number and use of vaccines is skyrocketing, the number of autism cases is skyrocketing as well. But remember, correlation does not equal causation. Agencies like HHS will say that doctors and medical professionals are just better at recognizing autism than they used to be and that may be true. But as one parent told me, while public statements have been made that there is no research supporting the assertion that vaccines can cause autism, families point to dozens of studies that do find a link between vaccines and autism that public health officials do not share with the public. And that families would like to present in a civil court, before a jury, which believe is their right under the Constitution.
One parent told him so! Tough to argue with that.
He is presenting the opinion of one parent and what families would like to do. OK.

Ben Swann who spent nearly the same amount of time as a journalist has also mentioned this in his blog as well…
I still don't understand how Bundy's patronizing praise of "Spanish" people invalidates the racism of his earlier remarks. Ted, Bundy's intentions do not make his bizarre news conference less racist.
You can continue going after the NY Times, but remember they were the only media outlet there. Bundy invited them so it wasn't like he was ambushed by some sort of media industrial complex. And Ted, many times reporters don't have unlimited space to run the complete rant of a crazy person. It seems really really strange that you are pinning some of the blame on the times.

I never said it makes Bundy any less racist. As I pointed out it seems makes he so stupid he doesn't even know that he was being racist.

So you are saying that the NY Times took this out-of-focus video that was published on youtube? LOL. Things at the NY Times must be going down hill fast.

The video was edited (the rest of his remarks were removed) and then published on youtube. Why didn't the NYT simply link to the full video (which is also available online)? Oh holy shit! Youtube/Google is running out of disk space!!! LOL.

                      • Is anyone following uncle teds point? He keeps admitting that bundy is a racist yet chides the media for not portraying him fairly. Perhaps uncle Ted should let his media experts communicate for him and stick to drudge reporting articles about new Texas hamburgers with eggs on top of them.

But maybe with the extra energy collected from the sun they can power lots of little turtle egg incubators.
It seems Reid (or Reid's son) and the Chinese are getting a huge discount on the land for that solar farm…

                            […]
Why did commissioners give such a steep discount to a Chinese company promising to spend between $1 billion and $6 billion developing the site near Laughlin? Charging ENN Mojave Energy just $4.5 million -- $500 an acre -- when two appraisals valued the land at between $29.6 million and $38.6 million was awfully generous. Expecting fair market value for county land shouldn't be too much when big shots are talking about billions of dollars worth of business, right?

In fact, the deal given to ENN Mojave Energy reflects the viability of the project. The company is getting a bargain because the chances that its giant solar-panel manufacturing plant, 500-megawatt solar power array and futuristic "eco-city" and research park will actually be built are quite slim.

Green energy just doesn't pencil out -- even with massive taxpayer subsidies.

For starters, ENN Mojave Energy must find utilities willing to buy the solar power it plans to produce. That's no sure thing. But assuming ENN Mojave Energy gets that far, its manufacturing plant would face some harsh market realities. Recall that California solar panel maker Solyndra shut down and went bankrupt this year despite collecting a $535 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy. If it weren't for tax incentives for both buyers and manufacturers -- not to mention heavy political pressure -- the entire industry would collapse.

Who will buy the power? They have all those turtle egg incubators that need power.
