    And a flaming sword.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

    Woot

I believe religion has much inherent good and has born many good fruits.

      • Another Doctrine overturned. My faith is being tested. I don't know if it bothers me as much as when they outlawed poligamy. I couldn't have cared less if we joined the Union.

It was such an amateur move, for an organization that is obsessed with its public appearance. I doubt that a general authority instigated this. But I have to assume a producer checked in with a higher up before the edit was made.

I would think the order to edit GC for content would be initiated from top. Or maybe his prayer was taking too long and they needed to cut to a commercial?

                • What a weird billboard. Guys, all we want for Christmas is the priesthood.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This billboard really needs to be fully psychoanalyzed by the orthomos. I am surprised it didn't say "Happy Holidays" because then it would be less offensive to the atheists and Muslims.

                        • I saw the announcement for the billboard idea the day the gofundme site was set up and it was already funded by the time I checked it out. It must not have taken them more than a few hours.

At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Same thing with world hunger, the important causes get their money when they need it.

Another great point. The money for that billboard could have been easily used to alleviate hunger for many, many families. It's a shame they wasted it on this
