Agree, my interest was actually aroused (only thing that arouses these days) and I went to the web site.

Can anyone explain what they mean in the beginning of their mission statement, "The fundamental tenets of Mormonism support gender equality. God is male and female, father and mother...............".

I take it to mean that God (a man) is not God alone and that together he and his wife, Mrs. God, are God together, neither being subservient to the other.

What does the JST have to do with anything? The JST has no historical relevance at all other than as a statement about Joseph Smith and how he operated. It has nothing to do with the original text.
