I do agree that this approach will be more personal. Nothing like having your personal Bishop or Stake President ask you to leave (if they choose to). I am not sure that is better.
Since my bishop watches it at home I'm pretty sure he won't care either way. Now, if the women start crashing the ice cream party after the meeting, then someone is going to get pissed!

    • this is going to anger some people here but i dont care: Kate Kelly is a crappy dresser. Where does she shop to find these sweaters and coats? that gets on my nerves way more than her activism.

The tradition here is 5 Guys before priesthood sesh. I doubt any women show up to that.

Yes, that is the tradition for me and my son as well. Then we hit ice cream afterwards and I drop him off at home and hit a movie with the guys.

I agree that it is a more personal gesture and because of that takes more courage. Showing up in a crowd of hundreds is one thing, but showing up alone or with one other women to a priesthood session and having to be "insistent in attending" to leaders that you know is another. I think it is brave.

I think that all it takes is one woman to show up in a stake center to get the men and leaders in that stake to realize that people in their flock care about this issue. It may backfire for some women depending on their leaders, but it may open the eyes of other leaders.

The good news is that if they show up just 10 minutes late, the "leaders" will already be seated and they can walk to the back and sit down, no questions asked.

                    • The sister missionaries are attending the priesthood session in my ward. They are sitting right there with everyone. They will probably want root beer floats too.

Just so they can be even better at telling their DL and ZL how to do better at their jobs.
