I mean seriously, I don't even have impure thoughts anymore wondering how pointy the nipple hidden behind yonder leaf or branch might be.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

As an aside, the film pursues very popular aesthetics that draw attention to the spectacle more than to the message, which personally I find ironic given the limitations on aesthetics that the CHOI imposes on sacrament worship.
Good point. I really want to break out and clap when there is a nicely-performed musical number in sacrament. It is so awkward to not acknowledge that or to demonstrate appreciation for such things.

That probably speaks to your age more than the hawtness of the actress. sjbh

Look dammit, I will say it: Eve was hotter in the old version.
Nooo! Say it ain't so. I had a thing for brunette Eve in the old films. She was way hotter than blonde Eve. I'll be bummed if the new Eves aren't as hot as brunette Eve. (Yes, it's been a while since I've done an endowment session. It's just so much easier to do sealings each month with our ward group - it only takes an hour.)

I've said this before, but it always made me chuckle to myself when the brunette Eve was told they were naked and her eyes immediately shot down to Adam's groin. I'll miss that part.
Sealings are great but I hate doing them with the ward because it's awkward to sit in that room and feel like you can't converse. I prefer initiatory since it's even quicker than sealings and there's no awkward "we are together but can't really talk" feeling that you get in the sealing room or in the celestial room. Plus, since they changed the initiatory ordinance to make it more streamlined it's less invasive. I'm totally looking forward to when they change the baptismal ordiance to only require sprinkling.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. That and the choice of animal to represent other forms of animal life were my favorite parts.

So I finally saw the new movie...or one of the new movies. If I had one word to describe it I'd say "tedious". I felt like it dragged on a lot. I know some of that was so they could translate and dub the movie into many different languages, but it really was tedious. I also noted some places where changes were made to the text, or at least I think changes were made. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere that highlights them. It had been 6 months since I'd done a session with the old film so I might not be remembering the old script correctly.
I"m not saying the movie is bad, but I'm really not a fan. Maybe I'm just old school as I was used to the dry narrative from which I could interpret a lot of things. The new movie feels like....well, a movie, which just feels wrong. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but the current narrative/script just doesn't lend itself well to a dramatic movie. If they were going for more drama or emotion then they should have rewritten the script or at least modernized it a bit. As it is now it feels like a movie with an unaltered Shakespeare script set in the current day...or at least done with today's special effects.

One time in Boise MJ and I were the witness couple. I was in the room with most of my inlaws. I fell asleep twice, both times having my BIL nudge my on the side to wake me up so I could go up to the altar. I really don't do well in movies....
Didn't fall asleep during the new movie, but I'm sure I will in the future, especially now that we don't have to stand up as much.
