  • New temple endowment movie

Apparently there is a brand new endowment movie that started just this week. I haven't seen it yet or heard anything about it. I do wonder if they went more historical and got a black Adam/Eve.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Thank goodness. I've been bored ever since they sidelined the young Satan version.

Seriously. And the Adam on the Ballam version needs a friggin' haircut.

No black Adam/Eve but from what I have been told it has better acting, especially in the case of Eve and the devil.

It's confirmed to be 12 minutes longer than the previous movie

Do they have to film these in a temple?

If the church were to abide by the human genome they would.

How would they do the outdoor scenes? I've never seen a live session but I don't picture a set full of trees and such in a temple.

Don't tell me nobody in production consulted you.

Good question and I don't think they do. The first film that was made for the Swiss temple was filmed in the SLC temple. I remember GBH playing a large part in pushing for a film so they could easily do the endowment in several languages and his biography talked about them bringing props and such into the temple.

I'd be shocked if any of them have been filmed in the temple since that first version....or at least the ones I've seen.

I recall one of the older ones (before the big change in 1990ish) had of a reflection of a Ford pickup in the water. It wasn't real obvious but I remember once I noticed it I couldn't stop thinking about it. I am not sure how they would get that pickup in the temple.

Is there a scene after the credits?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
