Nor do I. I've done a session in Japanese and translation lag was not a problem.

It almost makes me never want to go back and do another endowment as it feels like they've ruined the whole presentation of the ordinance. I want this psuedo-hollywood bullhonky removed and replaced the with the old feelingless narrative!!!

Maybe someday I'll warm up to the new movies, but for now I am not at all a fan. I guess I'll stick with other ordinances for the time being.
Agreed. The extra time makes it that much worse.

I have seen all 3 of the new ones.

The first I saw was the "Saints and Soldiers" swarthy Satan fellow. It didn't impress me much other than I remember thinking all the key players were melodramatic and trying too hard. I didn't find the impish Satan particularly evil.

The second I saw was the laughing gasSatan one with Marsha Brady Eve. I find that Satan to be a bit more evil in a way that is convincing to me. Fishing with a homemade basket was never real successful, I bet.

The last one I saw has Arco as the dark and dreary world which appeals to me. Good location for the fine folks of SE Idaho. When you see this one if you close your eyes when Satan talks he sounds like Napoleon Dynamite. I keep waiting for him to say "when are you going to leave me alone and stop ruining my life -Okay?!" Also the Adam and Eve in that one make me feel old.

If I had to vote I would go with laughingasSatan and Marsha Brady Eve as my favorite.

We go monthly, and Mrs. PAC will occasionally go with friends on one other occasion during month. Since the new films' debuts the only film we've seen is the first new one, with the totally wimpy Satan, whom I dislike immensely, and an Adam who emotes the same way Puddy did on Seinfeld (squinting, furrowed brow, uncomprehending). I like Eve in that one, although it's unclear why she's so happy to be with such a big lug. We're thinking of asking the temple to publish each film's showtime on Fandango so we can finally see the others.

The last time I saw the temple endowment movie was when The Tree of Life came out a few years ago.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

That was a good, if at times inscrutable, version. It was nice that the only time you had to stand was when you went to refill your popcorn trough.

The Tree of Life is the endowment movie the Church would make if it had any artistic sense. That movie is as moving a depiction of the Plan of Salvation as I've seen on film.

This. Maybe some time a revelation will come allowing proxies to stand for proxies while the proxies refill their popcorn troughs.
