  • I just dropped my daughter off at the airport. The church is flying her to SLC, where she will take TRAX to the Mexican consulate, get her visa stamped, then turn around and fly back this afternoon. I hope Delta gives frequent purchaser discount to the church.

Wait, is your daughter going in a mission? If not, what is she going to the consulate for?

I am guessing that this sister was maybe in the MTC around the same time as "illuminated" of St George, UT was there. Maybe that explains it.

Had this been announced? This reminds me of when Art mentioned that he was president of the priest's quorum.

              • I once had a cousin "go away" for 9 months. Never considered Leprosy as the problem.

Did they at least let her watch Netflix? Was she still under all the missionary rules? I would go insane.

                    • I'm not sure how all of her different traits coexists peacefully in her mind, but my daughter is somehow managing it all successfully.

I just read her farewell talk. It was very inspiring. Because it would be weird for a random 40+ stranger to email her, tell her thanks for me.

You're off the hook. Where's Wuap?!?
hartsville is my ward. She served here while we were in Costa Rica. I knew the other missionary in her Darlington Raceway photo, but not her.

Strange. All they did at the consulate was take a picture, and had my daughter sign the visa. She was there less than 5 minutes. Seems like a big waste of time and money.
