Here's how to make Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza. My husband and I love making Chicago-style pizza at home and we think this recipe is even better than the real thing!
I basically followed the attached but with a few variations. For one, I bought a 14-inch pan to make just one pizza instead of the two 9-inch pizzas called for in the recipe. I also tried to make a sausage patty pizza like at Gino’s. That turned out less well than I would have liked. There are a bunch of recipes out there for patty-style pizza, some calling for you to cook the sausage before and some not. I tried to cook it in the largest pan I had on hand, and with the shrinkage from cooking the patty was big enough to cover half the surface. I ended up cutting parts so one side would have sausage and the other side would just be cheese.
I was also surprised by how sweet the sauce was. There is a little sugar added in but not much; I would never have guessed it based on how sweet the sauce tasted.
Otherwise it was a good experiment. Definitely something to try again.
I'll tell you what is bad & really bizarre, it was the gifts they hand out. She doesn't want a flower, plant or CD. She wants a treat, just like what the men get on Father's Day. A few years back when I was tagged with coming up with gifts for the women in the ward, I bought Lindor Truffles. It was a hit, and they've been doing treats ever since.
This year all the women (even though with callings) had a half-hour meeting in the R.S. room while the men covered down on their assignments. The last 30 minutes, the women went to the multi-purpose room where tables & chairs were set-up with copious amounts of donuts and fresh fruit. They were able to visit and have a treat. Of course after church when the women were done, they opened it up to the men & young men, and it was quickly cleaned-up.
The last few Father's Days, the men & young men were served pie out of the kitchen just before priesthood meeting.

I know. Bad & really bizarre.
So weird.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
is it bad to include all women in the giving of gifts?
It is, apparently, when they do it "really aggressively." I saw a couple of women pinned down and being force fed by the distributors, "You'll eat this See's Candy chocolate butter caramel and like it, dammit!"
Mrs. NWC is the official planner of our family. Her only request for Mother's Day is that she doesn't have to make a single decision. So we do a brunch and let her do whatever she wants the rest of the day. Most Mother's Days that entails watching a Red Sox game
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
"You are an intemperate, unscientific poster who makes light of very serious matters.”
