MJ told me last night that I don't need to buy her anything for mothers day. Crap, now I have to go buy her something
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I drop in from time to time. Usually, by the time I've read through a thread, any points I would have made have already been provided. I'm a simpleton that way.

Did MJ get a name change too when you changed your name?

Honestly, this keeps me from posting more at times too. Seems some comments would be redundant.

I gave a couple of talks on mothers day growing up. Not always onmothers though did read one out of powerful stories of latter day saint women before. Two years in a row spoke on mothers day. My birthday occasionally falls on mothers day too.

Not as big a deal as fathers day it seems like. For flowers seems like they will give order of who to give em too. Do give to single, childless women and young women as well.

Last year speakers did not come so I was asked to come out of the stand and speak. Mentioned how cows don't like to leave there calves. Beef calves that is. Boyd Foster gave a good talk on that. I mentioned hen gathering chickens. Since most chicekns are hatched via incubator thought about saying many have lost there sitting instinct. When you look at your cars you would wish they lost another instinct that ryhmes. That would not go well in church though. Though some would get a kick out of it.

Cars shitting? I don't get it.

I think it's obvious Grape would write a better Mother's Day than PAC, though.

Another one I seen a poem about superwomen who gets burned out. But wonder if all those women that have all the great ideas have higher rates of divorce among active members and higher rates of nervous breakdowns.

Amelia McConkie had great ideas of how to perfect her family and Bruce wisely told her Amelia Relax. Birds make messes on cars. If you see it on your cars the mess you wish they would take that instinct somewere else.

                  Gotcha.

Bruce knew how to keep a woman in place. The scene could be out of a Tarantino movie.

"Honey I've got some great ideas to perfect our family."

                  "RELAX BITCH!"

Birds do make messes on cars that is the instinct many people would wish birds would get rid of.

My wife’s only request for Mother’s Day is that I make dinner for her. In years past we did the Dude’s stuffed salmon, a lamb chop with bleu cheese polenta, and other things. This year I am going for a copycat of the Gino’s east sausage patty deep dish pizza. I’ve been looking forward to this one for weeks so here’s hoping it turns out.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
