I was very happy when the Bishop totally let it slide and he didn't make him redo it. I'm quite sure that there were some that were offended, however.
And complained to the Bishop. Or even Stake President. Because that's what the gospel is all about you know.

Specific quotes were used and the gay agenda was indirectly and directly attacked. Hollywood was also criticized for trying to deliberately destroy the family.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Don't the sisters save each other at the end of that crap sandwich? Seems like the family was key to salvation for Elsa and the other one.

Why do people insist on making these kinds of assumptions? I think our guesses at who is going to get offended an by what are much worse than the truth.

            Wrong kind of family apparently

Well, because I am quite sure there were some.

I'm sure 99% of the ward was just fine with it.

I get it, you were the offended one.

Doesn't the movie itself demonize the song? In the end, she can't let it go. There is no freedom in isolation. She has to confront her curse, control it. In the end, to love and be loved saved the animated orphans.

                    • Had a great stake conference. Good speakers made it easy to feel the spirit. The rumors of the Church's demise are greatly exaggerated.

                        • Dry council speaker today. Anti Ordain Women and anti-gay diatribe. No mention of Christ out Father's Day. Or really any gospel principle except maybe "follow the prophet".

                          • I was teaching a lesson in EQ a few weeks ago when a visitor (who was in town from Utah ward shopping before he moved his family down) piped up and asserted that the beginning of the modern decline of the family was Bart Simpson. I hadn't heard that old chestnut for about 15 years, so I was quite amused. I am a little ashamed to admit I really looked down on the guy after that and thought that he might be better off in a less intellectually advanced ward.

It would have been better if he followed it up with a "Married With Children" reference.

                              • Some weird father's day song today...whatever happened to "I'm so glad when daddy comes home."

Also, I learned that my daughter is far more interested in coloring on the metal versus any paper or coloring book.
