So what is the official scoop on fasting? I often forget on fast Sunday and eat breakfast anyway. I have a suspicion that my wife waits for me to make my breakfast and sit down, then right as I'm about to eat she reminds me that it is fast Sunday. I think she does this to get back at me for being married to me all these years. Additionally i dislike fasting, don't enjoy the experience, and would be fine never doing it again.
ive noticed a total lack of reference to fasting in the temple recommend interview.it doesn't seem to be a big part of church worthiness, but rather an individual tool one can employ if, for some reason, you find it helpful. Have you ever heard of or been subjected to church discipline to any degree as a result of not fasting?
Ps I have already eaten two egg sandwiches and two bowls of lucky charms for breakfast and nothing bad has happened.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Occasionally it helps me become a bit more spiritually sensitive, and the ward or group fast is an interesting way of promoting a communal sense of support for someone in need. But I don't have a great testimony of fasting, though I'm a consistent participant. But not today! We had a very physically demanding day yesterday, during which I supposedly burned around 4600 calories and my body's exhausted. Despite Mrs. PAC's mild protest, I have claimed a medical exemption from today's fast as I genuinely believe food is necessary for a solid recovery.
