There is so much to love in this thread. I'll never forget Viking pointing out a woman's g's hanging out all over the place while we were in line at D-Land, and how tacky it was. Just because it covers your back doesn't mean it's meant to be seen... something I try to remember every day.
Also, maybe it's bad of me to do this, but I can tell you every single kind of garment top to wear with each sort of clothing piece. There's a time and a place for each and every one, so for women who are going to be saying goodbye to pretty underwear soon, get EVERY SINGLE KIND.what I am is what I am and I does what I does.Comment

In college before my mission, one of my roommates told me how they as missionaries dealt with g's peeking underneath shorts. They would roll their g's a couple of times into the bottom of the shorts, so there was a 'hem' of white at the bottom. I had never heard this. He said that they actually looked not too bad.
Of course, he told me this when cordoroy OP shorts had been gone a couple of years, and the longer shorts were here to stay. My FiL in retirement has started playing 18-36 holes of golf 6 days a week. He has started wearing shorts, which he told me a month or so ago was really the first time he has ever worn shorts outside of exercise in his entire life. Basically he always has 2-4 inches of G's hanging below his short line.
When it gets exceptionally bad he comments to me one of two comments A. Guys wear long underwear now with boxers and things so people are used to seeing underwear hang out of a guys shorts.
B. I guess this is why the church says you aren't supposed to wear shorts, it isn't possible to keep your garments above your shorts. He did not seem to like me asking how it was possible that I was able to do it, or when I suggested that maybe the priesthood was just stronger in me like Yoda.
