If the church cares about families, let us actually have family time! Maybe I should request a slacker hometeacher if they MUST assign us one. :-)
We just include our HT in with our family activities. So one HT dropped by and watched an inning of my daughter's softball game while sitting with the rest of my family. He brought along his daughter who was thinking of playing softball next season. Likewise, I forced the other HT to show up and play softball with our EQ team. Guy had been too busy to play and I was scheduled to pitch and wanted him in the outfield to make sure we had 10 players and because he is one of the better players on the team. So it wasn't just a teammate asking him to play, it was a home teachee who was asking him for support in his time of need and counting it as a monthly HT visit. So my HT got to play softball and do a "guy" thing for a change. Had the insight to bring his family along and his small kids were watched and played with by older kids in the ward who showed up. We walked back to the parking lot together so he could ask me the standard HT questions: "How's your family doing, etc." And his wife even remarked that it was great getting out of the house with the kids and that we should do this more often. And I didn't have to clean the living room just because the HT would be coming over and had more family time available after church (when the HT would normally visit).

I can understand this. It's nice to slip off a pair of jeans and see something other than white biker-short looking things.

I would guess that SP members would frown on such things in an interview, no?
I hope that SP member don't frown on foreplay.

It's killing me not to post something inappropriate in response to this. KILLING ME.

GETTING creepy? Hello, we've been talking about underwear, and mostly the female variety at that.

IMO, "biker-short looking things" is being far too complimentary while on the female figure in the upper end of the age range stated above. It's reminiscent of that scene in Bridget Jone’s Diary where Renee Zellweger chooses to don the granny undergarment (rather than the sexy one) because they make her figure look better from the outside. However, Hugh Grant starts laughing at them when they are in bed together. I'm perfectly happy only viewing my spouse's G's when I do the laundry.

                  Since wuap won't do it...

Slipping off jeans is probably not appropriate during a SP interview.

I think it's creepy that kc finds sexy women's underwear creepy.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

That was another one of my complaints. I could never wear white shirts. It looks ridiculous to see an outline of lace and the marks through a white shirt.

What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

                        • After so many years of wearing them, I feel weird not wearing them. As far as sexy lingerie goes, it's just a second of eye candy before it all comes off and Phat has managed to keep me knocked up for the past 6 years just by seeing me in my "white biker short looking things".

FN doesn't mind if I had a reason to not want to wear my g's, but I really never have had a reason. As far as breastfeeding goes, nursing g's suck ass. They need to be designed by a currently nursing mom, not a dude who hasn't lactated a day in his life. I feel the same way about nursing tops though. I really don't want this gaping hole near my armpit to pop out my boob to start nursing. I wear regular shirts that I have to lift up, so I just wear my bra under shirt and g top. sorry if that's TMI. All this said, I feel it's a huge pita to nurse in public, and so I always pump and take a bottle.

                          • Marsupial,

I don't want to get personal, but thanks for sharing. When did you quit wearing them (in relation to pregnancy/nursing)? Some mornings I get out of the shower and just can't face putting them on, and go for the boxers instead.

                            Chachi,

My wife HATED dealing with Gs with the twins. The nursing top was a pain to deal with, especially when struggling to nurse two babies. We lived in New England and the twins were winter babies so she didn't mind the second layer and remaining more covered than she was if she didn't wear the top at all, but it still was a hassle. She eventually started wearing the stretchy cotton-poly tops over the nursing bra, and that seemed to work for her.

I am not sure what she will do this time around, but one baby is SO much easier than two so it might not matter. She is less anti-G than I am, and because our weather is typically cooler she doesn't have occasion to wear thinner tops anyhow. Fleece jacket and hoodie weather is just around the corner.

No, I don't talk about it with other couples.

Women talk a lot. This is information gleened from discussion between my wife and I following Girls' Nights Out.

Not really that creepy. But, if that's the way you want to imagine it, so be it.
