Right. Don't leave out the widowers, divorced men, single men, and young men.

That choir in priesthood session was awesome.

I thought the same thing. Very good for likely a choir comprised of guys from the same stake.

Like Monson, I thought that was one of the best PS I have ever attended. I thought Elder Oaks' talk was incredible. As was Elder Uchtdorf's. In fact Gidget made a quip about porn talks as I was heading out the door and I told her that I need a patience talk. Trust me that I sat upright as soon as Uchtdorf started talking.

A few weeks ago, there was a discussion about pre-mission dating couples being called to the same mission, and I made a quip about the mission committee and their so-called inspiration. So now I have to ask, why does the spirit call such couples to the same mission? Is he sending a message that they should forego the service and have babies instead?

We had a brother and sister sent to our mission at the same time. The mission president's response was that they would always be on opposite sides of the mission, and he would do everything possible to keep them from crossing paths.

Oaks spoke on blessing the sick. It was very instructional and enlightening. I think many here would appreciate it. Oaks said a lot. Said that the healing of the sick occurs in and outside of the Church as a manifestation of faith. That God recognizes the faith of all. Said we are to seek the best medical remedies before seeking blessings. He said the power is in the ordinance and not the blessing that follows unlike other blessings like a patriarchal blessing. Said that faith is the force that leads to healings. But also said that it is contingent upon the will of God. Some are appointed to death and no matter who gives the blessing and despite faith strong enough to wrought miracles will make these whole.

Uchtodorf spoke on having patience. It resonated with me as it's something my 4 year old has been testing mightily.

If I were a GA, I'd be Elder J. Mac Williams III!

                            That'd be sweet.

I enjoyed the afternoon choir, especially the closing hymn Nearer My God To Thee.

I think Elder Robin A. Finderson sounds like a good GA name.
