Was planning on doing the Langer's challenge Sunday. We fly out of LAX early Monday morning. But then I go to check the hours just now and find out they are closed Sunday. What kind of deli is closed Sunday?

Now I have to decide if it's worth the 3 hour round trip tomorrow.

In Montréal this week and had the smoked meat sandwich (essentially pastrami) from Schwartz's deli. Definitely worth the walk and close to Cheskie bakery so I could pick up chocolate babka.

The lunch thread reminded me I never returned and reported. In the fall of 2018 I finally had a chance to go to Langer's in LA. Got the #19 as I was apparently supposed to do. It was a delicious sandwich. But the pastrami does not hold a candle to Katz's, which is still the king.

Dang - I misread this thread title. I thought Super-Dell had done something stupid again, like kick an owl from a paraglider and post the video on Youtube. What a disappointment that it's only an update on pastrami.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy pastrami, but when you think you're going to read something juicy about Super-Dell and it turns out to be about pastrami, it's kind of like that let down when you think you're going to drink Sprite and it turns out to be water.
