  • I had 3 eggs and 3 pieces of bacon for breakfast. It was good.

    • As part of my weight loss regime (65 pounds now) often at night I have an egg concoction to take the edge off. A big glass with a finger and a half of cream, equal part milk, a dab of chicken bullion, salt and pepper to taste, and microwave for 60 seconds. Drop an egg into the mix and stir well, put back into the microwave for 90 seconds. Pull out (careful it's hot) and put some cheese into the mix. Stir up some more, and you'll have a low carb gut buster that will tide you over about 4 hours or morning. And it's better than it sounds.

        • sounds great. Do you think I could substitute non fat canned milk for the cream, and water for the milk? And could I use low salt vegetable bouillon instead of the chicken? Could I omit the salt, and use non fat cottage cheese instead of regular cheese? And egg beaters instead of the egg?

I'll try it and report back.

Same. I'm averaging at least an egg a day since this thread.

                • I have made 2 over easy eggs every morning as well since this thread. I always add a slice of cheese. I have actually even used hamburger buns (Ran out of bread), and it was pretty good. Soaked up the runny yoke perfectly.

I have even make these for a late night snack as well.

Pretty much how I do scrambled eggs, but I'm not as into runny eggs as him (or the rest of you people).

                    • I made a Costco run yesterday afternoon. This morning when I loaded the kids up for church, I discovered the carton of eggs sitting on the passenger seat. I hurried and snuck them into the fridge before they made it into my wife's quiver of why I'm such an f$@* up.

Pretty sure nothing out of that carton will do much for this thread.

                        • Even then, might still be ok. They don't ever refrigerate eggs here in the Philippines. And it's always hot. Freaked me out for a long time. Often they don't clean the eggs either. That's a whole different level of freaking me out.

I just read an article on this. Many countries vaccinate the chickens against salmonella and so you don't have to worry about refrigeration. In the US they require extensive washing which then leaves the egg prone to developing salmonella, which is why they must be refrigerated. If they were CJF's eggs you'd be fine. Not sure in the states.

I've never seen eggs in the fridge in any country I've been to besides here and Canada.
