I took a look at lunch, and they are very small, but the Lil Tex isn't much bigger. The Texas is just too big to throw in the RV and go tailgating.

As far as searing, I can sear meat in a skillet on the stovetop of the RV before throwing in the smoker.

    Still undecided.

Don't be crazy, KC. Go with the Texas model.

On the other hand, I have a traeger the same size as the Lil Tex that I would be willing to sell at a competitive price.

You don't sear before, you sear after. Reverse searing.

So has anyone tried those new pellets yet? I haven't but I think I will give them a whirl this weekend.

I'm planning to use mine this weekend, too. I'm thinking of trying a Boston butt or whatever it's called.

I promised Tick I'd do a brisket while he's in town ... I may give them a shot Sunday or Monday.

I am doing two briskets and four racks of ribs on Monday. Will use the perfect mix on the briskets.

Go ahead. Just call me FMCoug.

Does he even sell little junior Traegers?

Hot lunch is picking one up there, I think.

That is a lot of food for a Monday. Are you doing a neighborhood FHE?

Ha! Double the brisket count and add some pork butts in and now we're talking!

That's a great idea. I'm going to have to do that, too.

I used today. Maybe I'm just crazy, but it seemed like my temps were much more consistent throughout than normal. I mixed with a little peach and apple for some pork butt. Very good.
