    Which Fast Food?

With my kids I often have to travel to small towns all over the state that usually the only selection that a bunch of 10 years old want to eat at is one of the big fast food chains (McD, BK, Wendys, Taco Bell, Arbys, Jack in Box). If you have to eat at one of these place what do you order? I have found the Fresca menu at Taco Bell halfway decent without completly clogging my arteries.

The Bacon Deluxe at Wendy's is pretty tasty. I'd choose Wendy's over any other fast food burger joint.

Jack in the Box shouldn't ever be an option for anyone.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

One of the things my kids hate about me (a long list) is that I have a "No McDs or Burger King" rule. I have eaten McDonalds once in the last 10 years, when I was betrayed by my sister.

When we are on vacations, I try to find local diners or family restaurants. This has resulted in some very good meals, and some pretty bad meals.

Sometimes, it is difficult to find a local place. In these cases, Wendy's is probably the most common place. Despite my "Beef 'n Cheddar" phase I went through when I was 15, I have nbever taken my family to Arby's.

Taco John's baby! I recommend the crunchy chicken and potato burrito.

Find Taco John’s menu, restaurants and rewards. Get Crispy Tacos, Potato Olés®, Meat & Potato Burritos and more flavorful menu items for you to Olé The Day.

Wendy's and BK. I don't know what it is but I really enjoy the Whopper.. Wendy's because it is actually fresh (As fresh as Fast Food can get). I was a cook there as a teenager so I know what they do, and it doesn't scare me..

Another place I may go is Sonics (Mainly I get the Mozarella Sticks and that's it)..

this is grody to the max.

Then I remembered that you hijacked a lovely holiday food thread with a picture of "green bean casserole."

PAC disagrees with you. I also disagree with you. For some odd reason, I enjoy the Jack in the Box chicken fingers.

My disdain for Jack in the Box stems from a time when I ordered a taco there and could not identify the type of meat that was in it. Not even after trying it. Was it chicken? Was it beef? I had (have) no idea.

Have I already revealed the secret to the JITB tacos? According to a former 'ee that I know, they take the day's leftover meat, grind it up, add copius seasoning and serve it in the tacos. That's how they make a profit because the
main ingredient is something that normally would have been tossed out.

I actually like their greasy tacos.. Odd enough. But it might have been due to the price more than anything else..

FYI: This is how Wendy's makes their famous chili... Believe me. I have been the human grinder of the days left overs..

                          But it isn't just leftovers.

It is the burnt meat as well. As a cook you usually need to have a certain amount of meat on the grill in case you get a dude coming in and ordering a triple.. So, after a specific amount of time you discard the burnt meat and replace it with a fresh one. The burnt meat is put into a metal box container where it is boiled and then hand shredded by employee's for the next day chili....

Added note: Oh yeah. The chicken salads. You can bet those are your leftover grilled chickens cut up as well..

That Wendy's burger with the bleu cheese is actually pretty tasty.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Wendys always has the soggiest bun and the worst tomatoes.

The Spicy Chicken however is delish.
