Yes. I tried everything that was on the internet and I couldn't fix it. I figured the extra $100 was worth the added insurance of a new box (mine is 3+ yrs old and in service through a year of unemployment ). It was the first issue that I had with it but it was a doozy. I think the MW2 Gods are unhappy with me though because after I downloaded the game I played one game (Carnival is A.W.E.S.O.M.E) and then my disc threw a disk error. My kid's scratched the hell outta my disk. So, on my way home I will buy the game AGAIN and will be ready to do work!! I should be on around 12 am CST.

I think Carnival might be my new favorite map. I will probably be on later tonight as well.

Give disk repair a try. It's much cheeper, usually 2-3 bucks at play n trade. I did that for a couple of my brothers wii games before I put them on an external HD.

I went 28-0 last night on Quarry.

And no...I didn't have Nuke enabled. My previous kill streak high was 23 so Nuke is an afterthought. I did unlock it last night now though.

I also went 25-1-2 on Derail last night. 25-0 to start.

Some maps just work really really well for me, some don't.

I really really like Quarry.

What was your strategy/game plan for those maps? Run and gun? hide in the shadows/kill streaks?

Quarry is fun for me if I end up in the group that starts in the top part of the map.

If you are on the top there are two sides....the one with the ramp coming up next to the tanks, and the one by the buildings. I stay by the building side.

As soon as the map starts I run over to the buildings by the car and lay down behind 2 paint cans and some orange cones. 2 usually easy quick kills here.

I then run to the back of the buildings setting a claymore at the door leading to the back. I then lay down next to the dumpsters. The road between the two buildings, and the far building usually give me two quick kills.

I then run back to the buildings and hide in there. Once I get the 5th kill it goes Predator, Harrier, Chopper Gunner.

Last night I had 8 kills before I had a chance to ever drop the Predator. I use Scavenger Pro and Stopping Power Pro.

On Derail I use Marathon Pro and Lightweight Pro. I have an MP5 and a Stinger. I run around the outskirt of the map. I mean run around. I don't engage anyone. I just do laps. I see someone scoped in or not paying attention and I run in and knife them. Of those 25 last night I would say 18 were knife kills. Fun strategy. I use it on Wasteland also.

You would be suprised how many kills you can get when you can run fast. People don't expect it and sometimes can't keep up with shooting.

Doesn't work on Highrise, Rust or any of the smaller maps obviously.

I think the PS3 crew will enjoy the new maps. I like every map this map pack. There is not one that I don't like. I love Carnival. Fuel is bad ass once you realize that people are going to camp those main warehouses and I find Trailer Park to be enjoyable. Strike is a classic and I think I may be one of the few that has always liked Vacant.

Is it just me, or do people camp a lot more than usual on these maps? When I die on Vacant, Carnival, and Fuel, more often than not, it was a camper that killed me. It drives me absolutely nuts, and I have to remind myself not to make it personal and go get killed again. So I run somewhere else and get whacked by another camper.

Actually getting to your question, I like them all too. I was surprised at how much indoor space there was on Strike. As for my favorite, I'd say it's a toss up between Carnival and Vacant. There's a spot on Carnival that I love that's perfect for camping and hunting with the Spas (hey, I never said I was better than anyone else).

Everything was clicking and I single-handling brought my team back for a win (it was 7500-7200) with a triple kill using the Scar, shooting through some treetops. I happened to see the team spawn and started spraying. I was using the Predator, Harriers, and the Pavelow. I put each up 3 times. It was awesome.

I assume, with a +33 contribution, that your teammates were all below 1.0 KDR in that game. I think there should be a Title/Award or at least Accolade where you win a TDM as the only person on the team with a +1 KDR. I had a game like that a few days ago, where the next best person went 11-14 (worst was like 3-20), but we won 7500-7400.

just went 64-1-6 playing demolition on rundown. i put a tactical insertion right behind their spawn using my current knife class, which is:

That is damn impressive, especially with the uzi. Mad props.

Yeah it was ugly. It was great to watch the entire lobby back out (like I could duplicate that two games in a row)
