vacant was a great map on COD4 for search and destroy. It doesn't set up that great for TDM IMO. Trailer park, I am still trying to understand. So many shortcuts.

I really like vacant for TDM. Such close quarters, though. Probably hard to get a kill streak. But you never have to search for enemies. Great with a shot gun. It might be too much with akimbo rangers though.

I had fun on trailer park last night. Each time I played on that map, it was CTF. All I did was pick my class that has Marathon and Lightweight, and I just ran around the track. For those who haven't played it, it has a road that rings the trailers and numerous pathways in and around the trailers. The flags are in the middle of the road on opposite sides of the map. All I did was run around, grab their flag, run around to ours, and start the trip again. The guys I was playing against must not have been that good because I was taking the flag even when they were camping around it to try to kill me. That was fun.

Also, +1 on Carnival. That is going to be a really fun map.

I'm looking forward to it! Except I've never use scrambler--I don't see the benefit. I enjoy when someone on the opposing team has it on. It tells me when someone is close and I make sure to get my shotgun/tactical knife out.

I've never tried it, but I think I can see the logic behind scavenger pro. It delays claymores. You can run, avoid someone's claymore, and stab them while they are switching weapons. I just get super cautious the second my radar goes fuzzy, and maybe that too works to the running knifer's advantage.

I think you may be getting Scavenger and Scrambler mixed up.

I think Vacant plays well with TDM. I agree with the close quarters but there is also a nice variety of mid-range and long distance. I think This map will transition well to MW2

Yes he is but he gives a good explanation why it would be beneficial. Especially on a map where You would expect lots of claymores

actually, I tried to do the opposite of that. But it still came across as if I were offline.

So what did you do? Did you buy a new box?

Yes. I tried everything that was on the internet and I couldn't fix it. I figured the extra $100 was worth the added insurance of a new box (mine is 3+ yrs old and in service through a year of unemployment ). It was the first issue that I had with it but it was a doozy. I think the MW2 Gods are unhappy with me though because after I downloaded the game I played one game (Carnival is A.W.E.S.O.M.E) and then my disc threw a disk error. My kid's scratched the hell outta my disk. So, on my way home I will buy the game AGAIN and will be ready to do work!! I should be on around 12 am CST.
