That's an amazing stat, and pretty sad. I would assume the PS3 people have contributed about that much, maybe 150K years. I've also played about 8 days.Originally posted by 1337coug View PostEntered my 3rd prestige today, and when I did I checked my barracks to find that I have logged a solid 8 days on this game. 192 hours. since christmas. Then while sitting at work I came across this:

200,000 YEARS logged playing this game, and that only counts xbox Live!
I'll probably be on tonight at about 10:30 PST.

Have any of the PS3 guys had any issues with online play lately? Whenever I try to play online the game hangs up on the loading screen. I get accepted into a group and the game starts, but the status bar only makes it about half way through the screen."To the man who only has a hammer, everything he encounters begins to look like a nail."

8BR and I played a few games last night. Between games, someone entered the lobby who had a GamerTag "DAMN MODDER" or something like that. The GT letters were all bright blue instead of everybody else's white.
Apparently others in the lobby had experience playing with modders because bunches of people kept dropping out once they saw the modder. When the teams were formed, almost the entire team opposite the modder dropped because they didn't want to play against him.
I figured that there was good reason that nobody wanted to play with/against the modder so 8BR and I left the room as well. So, I didn't actually get to see if this guy would be cheating in-game or not.
Does anybody else have experience with this sort of thing? How did he change the color of the letters? Stuff like that pisses me off and I'm glad that nobody wanted to play with the (presumed) cheater. For me, the worst part is knowing that this guy, if he changed the color of his GTag letters back to default, would not be recognized as a cheater."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

I don't know if its been mentioned yet, but the PS3 will get the new maps next month.
April 8, 2010 - Activision and Infinity Ward have dated the Stimulus Package, the first downloadable map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, for PlayStation 3 and PC.
The downloadable pack will hit PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, May 4 in North America, and Australia and the European Union on Wednesday, May 5th. The PC version will be released worldwide on Tuesday, May 4th. Activision did not provide any pricing details.
Xbox 360 owners received the pack exclusively through Xbox Live on March 30. Activision announced yesterday that first week sales reached 2.5 million downloads.

Damnit, I start my new job on May 3 and am taking the prior week off to get ready for it/get therapy after my last job. I was hoping it would've come out that week so I could spend my days learning the maps. Shucks.Originally posted by mrluchini View PostI don't know if its been mentioned yet, but the PS3 will get the new maps next month.

So is the new job going to demand the same long hours with no gaming time? By the way not moving the PS3 last night was very lazy of you, but I have to be honest 90% of the time when I log off it is for the exact same reason.Originally posted by filsdepac View PostDamnit, I start my new job on May 3 and am taking the prior week off to get ready for it/get therapy after my last job. I didn't want to disrupt the delicate re-wiring I did with my headset too. The new job is transaction based, so when I'm on a deal, there will be no playing, but conversely, when I'm not, there will be plenty of playing, so just depends. I'm still looking for a job that pays me a $.50 for every kill I get. That'd be roughly $150K/year doing 40 hour weeks.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostSo is the new job going to demand the same long hours with no gaming time? Is there no offset for deaths? If not that figure could raise significantly! I would hope they offer a bonus for challenges completed.Originally posted by filsdepac View PostI didn't want to disrupt the delicate re-wiring I did with my headset too.
