  • Just logged on, doesn't look like I missed much of a discussion... couple of thoughts from all the posts (don't want to quote them):

    1. Best post would be FN Phat's linking of the new maps video. I agree with CJ that new maps are better, but on the other hand, there's nostalgia for me playing those maps as COD4 was my first FPS. I'll probably go out to the wheat fields and take it all in. I also look forward to sniping from the roof again.

    2. I don't really even want to address Flyn's posts, but I thought it was funny that in his comparison of PS3 Network to Xbox live, he put online gaming for Xbox and not PS3...

    3. I agree with Fus that last night we had some good games, but never really had 'it'. Plus, we got worked a few times which is never fun. Overall, I think I went something like 13-5 on the night, but it just didn't seem right. I think my problem is I'll often spiral out of control if I start doing badly in a game. I'll get frustrated and go away from my game plan, whereas I need to be patient. It's not unlike football when a team gets down by a couple scores and starts passing too much and panicking.

    4. Either Cam or 1337Coug (i forget now) sound exactly like Wuap. I was thinking this in a game but didn't say anything. Then Fus signs on and joins a game with us and the first thing he says is, "Dude bro, you sound like Wuap."

    5. I DO NOT have the best setup here, my dual TV thing is nice but I need surround sound. Plus, my screen is only 47", but it's how I use it that matters!

I hate Quarry. Quarry and Wasteland have become my two least favorite maps I think.

It is Cam that sounds a lot like Wuap I was thinking the same thing last night. Cam you sound like you are about 40. I was surprised when you said you were in school and lived with roommates.

Also Cam went nuke on some guys last night which was fun. He even had a chance for double nukes. But we got impatient and ended the game. (we were playing sabotage).

Tenveux was going for a Nuke too and got to 21 before dying. We were just toying with those guys most of the night. They were not very good.

Also we had this kid come in "LittleKiller" that immediately started talking some smack, I gave it back to him a bit. Then I promised him he would finish 1 from the bottom at the end of game just above Robin (sorry Robin ). I was dead on, Little Killer got smoked, played one more game with us and got smoked again before him and "Gods Angel" (who was dropping more f-bombs than I have ever heard) both backed out.

This is exactly me too. When I start cursing under my breath, I know it's time to step back and calm down. When I start to get mad about stuff, my gameplay suffers and I am doomed to a string of 14-11 games. My style is all about patience and being willing to walk/run away when I am at a competitive disadvantage. And not trying to kill the same guy after he's beaten me twice in a row (that's MY trick, dammit - last night I got the same guy 6 times in a row when he kept coming back. All I had to do was shift position a bit every time).

If my team is around me, I'm in the wrong spot. If the flow of the game is the way I'm going, I'm moving in the wrong direction. If I'm running, I'm moving too fast. That's my style, and I have to stay with it.

Yes, you are bonded forever. Are you planning on kicking the shit out of him on Saturday night?

Is it easier to get nukes in sabotage? I am not asking this as smack - it's just really difficult to get them in TDM if the rest of your team is competent at all. You have to get 1/3 of the total kills if you are perfect.

The fact that you know these terms makes me more afraid of you then CJ.

Not sure yet. My wife has to go to the general young womens broadcast and has a dinner either before or after. If it is before then yes I will be there. If it is after, I will be watching it solo at my house.

That's probably not accurate. Blu-ray is Sony technology. There's no way in hell Sony would license Blu-ray to its biggest competitor. The PS3 would never had got off the ground if it didn't have the Blu-ray advantage. It was a rocky start to begin with.

The games can be longer so I would guess that makes it easier as their is no kill limits. However if you are focused on getting a nuke and the other team plants the bomb the games can be a lot shorter than TDM. So it all depends I guess. To be honest we prolonged the game a bit so that Cam could try and get it. We knew we would win so we let them plant the bomb.
