Interesting. This will most definitely take time getting use to the different perks, guns, etc. From the looks of my schedule, I will be online Friday night now (instead of tonight) and then again over the holiday weekend (which might turn into a five day shooter instead of a four day if the concrete placement goes in my favor :rockon2: )

I had fun playing BlOps2 tonight so I decided to play around with the video editor. Here's a video about how to upload clips to youtube:

Like the guy says, it takes forever to render the video (mine took about 10 minutes for this 1:23 clip).

I don't know if the "highlight" feature is new, but it seems like a good idea. You tell it the parameters, and it will put together a number of the "best" clips from any game (defined by kills, points scored, etc.)

It's a pain editing films down to below two minutes so they can be rendered and uploaded to youtube. After I cut stuff out so that the aggregate length of the highlight clips was about 1:50, I selected "merge all clips"-- and then the resulting film was longer than 2 minutes again, so it is kind of a pain.

Here is a highlight video made of my best BlOps 2 game so far. I played with whatever shotgun you start out with and ended up 25-13 but at halftime, I was 18-2.

This is apparently broken for the PS3. I rendered a clip where I went 21-3 in CTF on Wednesday, and I cannot find it.

I got a sweet triple kill last night as well with the M870. Once again, the semi-automatic assault rifle is badass. The FAL is a great gun.

After the 6th hard reset tonight... I'm done for the night. So much for double xp...the game is almost unplayable with all the hard resets...

There has already been a patch (1.03) and it fixed the full lobby balancing issue in matchmaking. It also stopped almost all the hard resets, I played quite a bit yesterday and "only" had one hard reset.

I played for a few hours over the weekend. I am still getting used to the new guns and attachments. The fal is pretty beast. I thought the mp7 wasn't too bad as far as subs go but the shotgun (forget the name) was pretty damn fun. What are your thoughts? With the wildcards I have not really found my sweet spot as far as loadouts yet.

IMO, the best SMG is the MSMC, easily. The Chicom is pretty good, the MP7 is average. I imagine the Scorpion EVO would be good, but it has a tiny clip and I'm not sure I care to suffer through using it to unlock the extended mags attachment.

As for assault rifles, the FAL is indeed beastly. The MTAR is pretty good too, but nowhere near as accurate as the FAL. The SMR is really good too, but I don't have much experience with it, only one game.

As for loadouts I've seemed to be doing well with hardline, scavenger and dead silence/dexterity. An AR or SMG with two attachments, typically laser sight and fast mags. The SMAW, and a bouncing betty and 2 shock charges. With scavenger you can pick up extra bouncing bettys and SMAW ammo. As for killstreaks, I like the RC-XD, missile and AGR. The AGR is insane.

I didn't get into zombies on black ops and I didn't play world at war, but zombies in this game is awesome. I'd recommend playing the maps in survival mode before trying tranzit to get a feel for them, but once you've done that tranzit is amazing. You definitely need a mic, it's way more fun with a group of people that know what they're doing and communicate.

No patch for the XBOX folks. I haven't had any connection issues.

I am digging the hell out of this game.
