I fully expect the feel of blops2 to be more cartoonish and a little off. That is how every Treyarch release has been. Some people prefer it, more dislike it. It's frustrating to hear the same complaints about the sound. I think it is so easy to distinguish that it shouldn't be a difficult thing to fix. As long as the footsteps don't sound like a tap dance and actually stops when you stop...that is an improvement. I will give it a run on Thursday night.

I'm totally digging on league play. I'm in the silver division (subdivision 55 rank 120, whatever the fuck that means). Hope to up that. I'll post a 21-3 game later. Two dragonfires, which is badass. Last edited by lambdacoug; 11-13-2012, 08:42 PM.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. That was a frustrating night. My shit locked up like 3 times, and we keep getting "need more players to balance teams" with a full lobby."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

The lack of posts in this thread is pretty telling. There is much less excitement surrounding this game, IMO.Originally posted by fusnik View PostLame.

Don't even know if I'll turn it back on.

I think this game is better than MW3 and BlOps 1, but nowhere near as fun as MW2. I'd actually rather just keep playing MW2, especially if new maps were released. Of course, that would be much less profit for Activision and the studios, so it won't happen."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

I gave up last night after about 3 games. The lag, stuttering, locking up, random kicking of teammates are annoying. I think I'm going to just do the campaign and wait for the inevitable patch."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. I got the hang of things this morning. I keep forgetting that I got murdered on the first black ops for two weeks, and then figured it out.

Went 31-4 on raid with the shotgun (whichever is the first unlocked) in TDM. Love that thing. It's like having the Spas-12 from MW2 all over again.

Some glitches with the multiplayer but less than previous releases.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Yeah, it takes me about a prestige to get the hang of things and adjust to the differences between games. There are definitely fewer issues with blops2 than with blops or mw3.Originally posted by nikuman View PostI got the hang of things this morning. So, now that I have a chance to type more, here are some initial thoughts:

 1. It's cartoonish. Graphics are on par for Treyarch.

 2. You have way less health than MW3. I should have expected this.

 3. I love the Pick 10 aspect of class creation. Gives me way more flexibility in how I set up.

 4. Maps are small and intense. Spawns swap rapidly. It's like playing on Dome every match. I think that is a good thing.

 5. Stupid effing campers. That is all.

 6. I don't know what is up with sniper rifles since I don't use them, but damn. I've been straight up murdered by them.

 7. Initial weapons suck. Except that shotgun. Oh, that shotgun! I put on a long barrel and laser sight and it's awesome.

 8. The bouncing Betty has taken me by surprise a couple of times (I just unlocked it). The shock tactical grenade is actually pretty awesome - you can pick it up and reuse it. I saw one guy trying to use it as warning while he was sniping, sort of like a claymore. It didn't work out well for him.

Not as disappointed as I was the first night I played.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

 2. You have way less health than MW3. I should have expected this. see above

 3. I love the Pick 10 aspect of class creation. Gives me way more flexibility in how I set up. can you explain this pick 10?

 6. I don't know what is up with sniper rifles since I don't use them, but damn. I've been straight up murdered by them. Is Treyarch making up for the lack of a quick scope?

 7. Initial weapons suck. Except that shotgun. Oh, that shotgun! I put on a long barrel and laser sight and it's awesome. i love the sounds of this

To answer your questions:Originally posted by FN Phat View PostPlease see comments above.

The way the pick 10 works is that you get 10 points to spend on whatever you want. Weapons, attachments, perks, grenades, etc. And there are wild cards that let you break the rules as long as fit in the points. Want a gun with three attachments? Fine - spend a point on a wildcard and throw on three attachments. Want no tier three perks and two tier one perks? Wildcard. Want only two perks but a super loaded weapon? Fine. I run without a secondary weapon and with only one tactical grenade, but with five perks and a shotgun with Long barrel and laser sight. Btw, a lot of the old perks are now weapon attachments - steady aim is laser sight, QuickDraw is a QuickDraw handle, etc.

 It's not ironic!

I think you can drop and avoid a bb, but I am tuned into a different sound so I haven't been able to do it yet.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
