I had a horrible night last night, but for some reason I just kept on playing...

I'm leveling up the scar right now. Its a great gun, but unlike the SMGs, ARs require you to use both the grenade launcher and shotgun attachments to level up. Those are two incredibly useless attachments, IMO, with the shotgun attachment being the worst. You have to get 40 kills with that thing to level up. I played for probably 1.5 hours with the shotgun and have approximately 27 kills. And that's with me running nothing but the shotgun. I often had close range, on target shots that wouldn't kill a guy, even with two shots. I was also using steady aim, but that apparently adds nothing to a shotgun. Ugh. My K/D, while not impressive, took a major hit last night.

That's why I generally avoid the shotgun attachment. You can get the mastery challenge without achieving the challenge for each attachment, so I just skip the shotgun.

That makes sense. I will definitely be skipping it in the future.

The bummer is that the shotgun attachment could be really useful it if were even decently powered. But its so under powered that you'll lose almost every close range battle with any gun. That makes no sense.

I also played horribly last night. Started one game 6-1 and then died 17 straight times. It was incredible. Not sure I could do that again if I tried, I feel like I'd at least knock someone to the ground on accident.

Did you prestige already? If not, I'm assuming you lose your golden guns when you do. If I get any golden guns, I'm not sure I will prestige. I hate starting over.

Yeah, I remember thinking that I wouldn't use the group account because it would be too busy. Ha! Maybe later on it will pick up.

Once you have the hang you can always reset the stats.

My KDR on MW2 was 0.7-ish, started at 0.5 and went up. My KDR on blops was 1.09, started right were MW2 left off at around 0.8, and it hit 1.0 in July and I finished with 1.09. My KDR on MW3 is starting right where I left off in blops at 1.3 (fluctuates from 1.3 to 1.35). I suspect the trend will continue and I'll be at 1.5-1.75 by the time the next COD is released. The moral of the story is that it takes time, some more than others. It took me about a year to get a KDR over 1, now most games end with a KDR between 1.5 and 2, for me.
