I am hesitant to buy this game. Everything that I have read smells of WaW...typical Treyarch bullshit. I think that I will rent the game to play the campaign mode and try out the multiplayer. The only positives I have heard are from guys that never played WaW and seem to be a direct carry over, such as the stats, different stats per gametype, "unleash the hounds" attack dawgs, etc.
My hunch tells me that I am going to continue to mow fools down with the harriers, blow shit up with the AC130 and end the world with nukes until the folks from IW make their new game. I'll still be playing MW2 when you ladies decide the grass isn't greener on the other side.I'm your huckleberry.

Okay, having played all the Modern Warfare games and WaW I will give my two cents tomorrow.
My wife bought the game for me today and after reading all these descriptions I am just going to open it up and try it. I will play the game tonight and tomorrow so if any xbox people are down for a party, hit me up.

mw2 will last that longOriginally posted by Hsaru View PostGood luck waiting for the next IW game, they are IW in name only, everyone of note left the company. And there barebones new company Respawn won't have a game ready for 3+ years probably, maybe only for the next gen of consoles.

Okay so here is the at-a-glance review.
As soon as the game started the first thing that I noticed in about .001 seconds was that the graphics are FAR BETTER IN MW2. FAR BETTER!
The weapons do not seem to resemble toys to me, but its the lack of graphics from TreyArch that make them look off. The weapons, surroundings, explosions and movement are all better in MW2. Although, the sounds in the game are amazing as stated before.
The spawning is terrible. Epic Failure. An enemy got spawned right behind me, kills me. I get spawned behind him, Kill him. Later in the game I get 5 kills and call in my care package, the last guy I killed gets spawned next to me, literally right next to me. A game later we were playing in a suburban home area and my team kept getting spawned in the backyard. After a few attempts to try and spawn else where I decided to just hide with a shotgun. The game ended and we NEVER left the backyard. Score of that game will not be posted, but resembled the TCU-Utah game....
The guns do have more recoil in BO. I have been using the MP5K and it has more kick. Even when I put a silencer on it the kick was not as bad, but still stronger than in MW2 which I do not mind.
I will keep playing tonight and tomorrow, but as of right now MW 2 is still supreme. Strictly because this game was developed by a company who said this will be amazing, mind-blowing game play...but all they did was refurbish WaW. No enhanced graphics, not enough modern day weapons and CAN ONLY HAVE A SHOTGUN AS A PRIMARY WEAPON?!
They need to go back to the lab again and design a NEW game and not just put a "Modern Day" twist on an old game.

Interesting. . . I think I will also be a holdout and stick with MW2. Can you tell if there is any lag problems in BO? (Does the system still pick one player to be host for the match, thereby giving that person an advantage?)Originally posted by FlynHawaiian30 View PostOkay so here is the at-a-glance review.

Also, I doubt you could tell that graphics were better in only .001 seconds. No way is your TV framerate high enough for you to get a good idea that quickly."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

I don't second guess my decision to buy BO, but MW2 is way better and it's not close. I am up for playing whatever the gang does but I suspect our weekend mw3 fixes are not as much in the past as I thought.Originally posted by Lost_Student View PostInteresting. . .
