The Call of Duty Thread

I greatly enjoy all the feedback on the game as I am yet to make up my mind about it. There seem to be some negative points that have been made such as:

1) No nuke? What is the top killstreak then?
2) Weapons seem like toys
3) Graphics not realistic
4) Seems more like a wii game?!

The only thing positive that I have heard is Ice Cube doing the voices.

Please keep the feedback coming as I don't want to regret getting another TreyArch game.

So far everything I've heard sure sounds a lot like WaW. I hope I am wrong but everything from the stats to the graphics to the gameplay. Please tell me it doesn't sound like your Guy has tap.shoes on when he is running. Please.

So I bought the game tonight. I haven't opened it up yet. I am considering taking it back.

Apparently I'm the only one really enjoying this game. I really miss the scar, but I haven't played enough to explore the guns. I love the maps so far, and I think it looks a lot better than mw2. The only complaint I've had is that the controls seem a bit looser than mw2 and I've been a bit laggy (those could very well be related). I'm looking forward to playing a lot tonight, on whichever console has a party going.

I actually agree. Once I got my AK74u, I've been loving life. I got a chopper gunner on demolition that yielded me 15 kills and man was that fun. I think the graphics are great, you can see different facial expressions of the other guys. The M16 looks like a toy, but not all guns do, and customizing them is pretty cool, I think.

I agree with Wuap on how some maps are a bit strange with lots of doors, but it's not like the apartment complex on MW2 made much sense.

I feel like there is more recoil, which I think is good, b/c it's realistic. There isn't a lot of noob tubing, which I obviously like, so the gameplay has been great.

I'm actually liking the game. Maybe because I don't feel at a huge disadvantage because I didn't start so late with this one. I quite enjoy it.

This game, to me, feels like a knockoff of MW2. It almost looks like a cartoon (e.g. "Nuketown"). I'm doing really well, but I don't think I care much for it.

Those who are debating picking it up, you should throw down the $7 at Blockbuster and atleast give it a rent. The single player is the best yet of the next gen call of dutys and the multi feels a little too much like MW2 but it has enough fresh stuff that its worth a rent to check it out.
