It's in everyone's best interest not to have another DDD around.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

      Don't listen to him, EJ.
      Listen to who?

Btw, I paid $0 for In Rainbows. My justification? Radiohead dogged me at a concert. They were promoting The Bends and opening for some band (Stabbing Westward?) at Saltair and they didn't show up. There was some excuse as to why they couldn't make it from Denver that night. I was pissed that night and finally found a way to take it out on them.

I took your cue and have been listening to almost exclusively Radiohead since Monday night. Started with Pablo Honey, and have listened to every album and EP in chronological order. Right now I'm on the Amnesiac b-sides.

By the end of it, I'm thinking of making a list of my 12 favorite RH tracks.

              • The band just sent out a tweet with a mysterious Japanese text: 渋谷 ハチ公広場 金曜日 18時59分, which translates as ‘Hachiko Square Shibuya, Friday 18:59′, referring to the square in Tokyo, Japan. Depending on the translation, it could be something at 18:59 hours this Friday at that square or 59 minutes on Friday the 18th. Is it an announcement on one of the square screens, a webcast, a surprise show or are Radiohead just giving us something to do? Go ahead and speculate…
Ok, so what's going to go down? An unveiling of the tracklist? A concert? A webcast projected onto the screens there? Some type of promo vid?

                I'd say there's a good chance of a webcast.

Since I'm listening to this right now: [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TTk57MChwM"]YouTube - "Talk Show Host" by Radiohead (Glastonbury 2003)[/nomedia]

The studio version is good, but that is the definitive in my mind. So. Good.

Alright, this shit is 1:59 AM my time. Don't think I can stay up that late, but I also know I won't sleep well thinking about it. Damn it.

Whatever is happening in Tokyo happens tonight. I don't know if they're getting the album first or what. But I don't think it's the album. Since it's in a place with a bunch of TV's, I think they're doing some type of music video or promo vid or perhaps webcast.

                            But nobody knows.

Speaking of that, at what time is the album coming out on Friday? Midnight on the east coast? Midnight in London? Midnight in greenwich mean time?

Nobody knows that either. If everyone could download at the same time, it would undoubtedly crash their servers. When you buy the album, the first question it asks is where you live, so some are thinking it's going to be staggered according to time zone. IR was released at random throughout the night, and most people just woke up to it in their inboxes.

I would really like to know. I'm hoping to get this thing tomorrow night!
