I read this interview with her today and it made me love her even more than I did: http://www.avclub.com/articles/rashida-jones,26240/So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

It has received really bad test screens for the past month or so. They have already tweaked it twice.
That is turning into a tough time slot. Kath & Kim was cut down by about 5 episodes this season, which is one of the reasons NBC is trying to see how P&R will do.
With the Office having become a total waste of time, the only thing worth watching on Thurs nights seems to be 30 Rock.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

What we're seeing is the same phenomenon we saw after Lost was such a success. The next year there were tons of Sci-Fi serials trying to copy it. Same thing with these comedies. Shows like Kath and Kim, Park and Recreation, etc. are trying to capitalize on the success of The Office and 30 Rock ... and failing miserably, just like the Lost copycats did."It's true that everything happens for a reason. I've always wondered how Arrested Development would do now that the single camera and non-laugh track formulas have been popularized by The Office and 30 Rock. I think the format seemed strange at the time, but now it's almost commonplace. Lately when I hear laugh tracks they just sound so cheesy and annoying.Originally posted by FMCoug View PostShows like Kath and Kim, Park and Recreation, etc. are trying to capitalize on the success of The Office and 30 Rock ... and failing miserably, just like the Lost copycats did.So Russell...what do you love about music? I guess I'm old school because the "normal" sitcoms are still my favorites. I like 30 Rock but The Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, and How I Met Your Mother are all better IMO.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI've always wondered how Arrested Development would do now that the single camera and non-laugh track formulas have been popularized by The Office and 30 Rock. Better off Ted is a show similar to Arrested Development that can be your barometer.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI've always wondered how Arrested Development would do now that the single camera and non-laugh track formulas have been popularized by The Office and 30 Rock. I agree about the laugh tracks, I can barely sit through shows that have them, even if they're funny.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI've always wondered how Arrested Development would do now that the single camera and non-laugh track formulas have been popularized by The Office and 30 Rock. c'mon... the Generalissimo episode while not being "Milf Island" (which is in league of its own) was pretty darn funny.Originally posted by YOhio View Post30 Rock is getting pretty shaky as well. It's not quite Office bad, but it's heading that way."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. I have Parks & Rec on the DVR but didn't watch it last night because I was tired and there were a lot of bad reviews here by people I trust. However I awake this morning to find that perhaps you have all lied to me, from my good friend's Facebook status update;
"David Locke is certain Parks and Recreation is going to be a hit -- funny funny show."Get confident, stupid
