It gets better then it gets worse. However, I think if you didn't really like the first season, I doubt that you will like it. I think the first 4 seasons are great. The 5th season is where it starts to get kind of lost. Seasons 6 - 7 are okay. The show loses is way completely in season 8.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostDoes it get better? As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

A good part of the payout for GoT is the character development over multiple seasons. To understand why an adult character is the way they are or how a child's character is shaped as they attain adulthood. A problem I have with HotD is the changing out of actors for the same role (and in the same season) for some key people. I wonder if it could have been done more effectively using flashbacks with the younger actors. Since HotD made the decision it did with changing out actors and skipping 6 years, then 10 years, into the future between episodes, makes me think that HotD creators figured that the show won't be around for that long.“Not the victory but the action. First few episodes, I wasn't sure but worth pursuing. Episode 5 was fantastic. I'm hooked. Now I'm watching episode 6 and they swapped out actors. I might be done.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostA good part of the payout for GoT is the character development over multiple seasons. They planned for and will get 4 seasons. I agree they rushed the jumps but that's the storyOriginally posted by Paperback Writer View PostA good part of the payout for GoT is the character development over multiple seasons. Because the production value is still better than almost anything on tv. I liked it fwiw, but I understand why some find it frustrating. Just read that after next week we have to wait until 2024 for Season 2. Now I wish I'd waited to watch. I will say it's been fun having a show that a large percentage of the population is watching at the same time again. Hasn't been a water cooler show since GoT.Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View PostAgain, I'm not sure why in the hell I'm watching this show. That last episode was a mess.

Question for those who've read the books AND seen the show: if I've seen the show, is it worth reading the books? I am about a quarter of the way through the first book and decided to re-watch episodes 1-2 and they are so true to the book that I don't really feel like continuing.

I liked the books better, especially as it went further along. If you read the book, you're not going to see any nipples.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostQuestion for those who've read the books AND seen the show: if I've seen the show, is it worth reading the books?
