We just finished the five-part The American Experiment and loved it. It covers the events leading up to and surrounding the Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution, and ends with the transition from Washington to Adams. Several historians and analysts and provide the narration, and a few politicians join in as well. It wouldn't ruin it for you if you went straight to the last episode which begins with January 6 and Mike Pence talking about why he did what he did, but then goes back to the ratification of the Constitution and what the founders were thinking. The series was the perfect way to observe the semiquincentennial. Watch it.

That is one of the craziest stories I’ve ever seen.

I watched "The Northman" the other day. Has been on my queue for a while. Has some big stars and the shots in Iceland are amazing. But holy cow, what an awful movie otherwise. Do not recommend.

Has anyone watched The Hawk? Will Ferrell's Netflix show with Fortune Feimster as his caddie? Its not high comedy, but those two have great chemistry.

I watched that movie in the theater, and as I recall, I liked it. What did you hate about it?

I thought the plot in general was absurd. And not a single likable character.

Fantastic cinematography and a fairly compelling cast of characters, coupled with a pretty clever plot. I have a few gripes, but nothing major. For me, the Swedish "Let the Right One In" is the best vampire movie out there (the American adaptation "Let Me In" is fine, but not as good as the original, IMO). Midnight Mass is totally different visually than Let the Right One In, but I felt like it is the closest thing to capturing the feel/essence of LTROI. The addiction allegory weaved throughout the story is quite well done.

FTR, Midnight Mass is a 7-ep mini series. So it's a pretty quick watch. Some language and plenty of bloody gore, but no nudity, sex scenes, or overt sexuality, really.
I went back and watched Midnight Mass again recently, because a friend is watching for the first time and he keeps texting me about it. So, I wanted to refresh my memory on the series. Honestly, almost just as good the second time through. Since I already knew the major plot points and spoilers, I was able to watch through a different lens, and I picked up on a bunch of things I missed the first time. Even a second time through, the cinematography is amazing, and the storytelling is also top notch. The actor who plays Father Paul absolutely kills it.

Death of the Pastor's Wife is mind-blowing. My wife and I were both yelling at the TV.
