I watched this. Very interesting. Will of say anything else but was surprised on the final decision he made.

    • In Order of Disappearance is now on Netflix. Fun Norwegian revenge flick starring Stellan Skarsgard. He plays a snowplow driver whose adult son is killed basically for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Skarsgard starts killing his way up the local organized crime chain of command to get at the responsible parties. Not for kids but I recommend it if you have some tolerance for violence.

Edit: Ignore the trailer; it includes minor spoilers.

          • I started "Glitch", got about half way through episode one and haven't been impressed yet. I like the premise, but the acting and dialogue leave a bit to be desired.

Is that a spinoff from Wreck It Ralph?

              • Binged on another Norwegian Series, called "Nobel"

Ok this one is not stupid. In fact, my husband and I had to tag team and view it together to make sure we really understood what was happening. Either I'm really dumb or the subtitles were too simplistic. Lots of action and lots of political fracases.

Anyways, this series (8 epis) was great if you want to watch smart suspense. It has Afghanistan, IEDs, Gustav Mahler, NGOs, opium, horseracing, Buzkashi, politics, government, press, Falun Gong, Mullahs, and the Nobel Prize Committee. It won the Prix Europa for Best European Tv Movie or Mini-series of the Year.

Apropos of nothing, there is a character in the movie who looks exactly like Eric Mika, if he had facial hair. Every time this actor showed up in the series, I would cry out "Mika!" Which only happened once or twice per epi to begin with. But the final episode, he appears a lot and my husband told me to shut up after about 10 "Mikas"

Just watched this (this is probably the fourth or fifth circumnavigation documentary I've watched in the last few years). Interesting story. I would love it if they made one about the French guy.

It wasn't your cries of "Mika!" during the show that bothered your husband.

Yes! I was rooting for that guy. One cool cat.

Don't expect it to be a realistic detective story. It veers into the impossible, and then later you think, "Okay, that is kind of explainable." So, internally consistent.

It is TV-MA, for two gratuitous sex scenes in episodes 1 and 4, and a sprinkling of the f-word (about 4 per episode).
I can't even describe how much I loved this show. We finished it last night and I've been reading comments about how actual the finale is all morning. Yawn. This show was fun and different and left the ending requiring some thought by the viewer. One of the best things I've watched in a long time. Thanks for the tip KL.

Thanks. I was guessing "awesome" or "awful" so I asked for a clarification.
