I think there is a mispelling in this sign, but probably not the one you think. It should probably read, "Get a Brian Morans!" Brian is probably a local sports caster who got downsized due to his alcoholism and a penchant for acting out in titty bars. The man in the image is probably Brian's brother, and he is standing in front of the local competing news network, trying to get them to hire Brian.

I looked up Mykelti (Bubba Hastings) Williamson and was surprised to learn he was a member of The Lockers, a 70s and 80s dance troupe that performed in, among other world-class venues, the Varsity Theater in the ELWC (I managed to skip class to attend). His dance career must have left him physically damaged as he slouches around, head bent, CTU HQ.

I enjoy watching the show with our youngest. Whenever a new character is introduced we quickly announce our prediction as to his/her longevity ("Dead but later", "Dead, tonight", or "Lives!"). We've become uncannily accurate. Last night's call on the two cops in the alley way was easy. Neither of us saw the ax in the stairwell, though, so we had assigned longer lives to the two thugs chasing Jack and the druggie.

And isn't it great that the discredited game show host in Slumdog Millionaire has been able to leave India and become the President of Iran?

The show is a definite guilty pleasure.

My wife and I give it the Mystery Science Theater treatment. It is hilarious. Especially because we have lived in NYC and can immediately spot all of the ridiculous things. Like CTU having a swank building on the East River, river front, as a gov't entity. And it only taking 5 minutes to drive anywhere in NYC.

Yes nothing has changed since leaving Los Angeles. Need to get from CTU (downtown at the 101 and Alameda) to the Ontario airport? Jack can drive there during the commercial break. Van Nuys to Simi Valley? Again during a commercial break. The Jacktracker mapped it all; sometimes he goes 645 mph.

After waiting 7 months for 24 it is always good to get it rolling again, even if it is formulaic and predictable. It was disappointing to lose Tony Almeda to the dark side, but Renee Walker can save my butt any day. I'm interested to see what new villains pop up this year. Jurgen Prochnow shows promise, having done the Nazi bad guy in several movies, now moving over to Russian mafia roles. But the question is, who is using the Russian mafia for their own gain? This will keep me watching.

Who had Episode 7 in the pool?

I personally thought it would take a little longer for Crazy Renee to break. But boy, did she break in spectacular fashion! It will be interesting to see if she sticks around somehow or gets grounded permanently. I guess she's probably disposable now that V'lad is out of the picture, but in typical 24 fashion, I can see them finding a role for her to play through the rest of the season.
